My mother-in-law asked me one time if she can use my washing machine. So I tell her how to use it and how it is done. Also show her where the soap and fabric conditioner are located near the washing area. Of course, she asked me to be the one to operate it. I asked her if everything was there and ready and she gave me a thumbs up. After the machine finished and she was taking the clothes, she remembered that she did not put soap and fabric conditioner. My MIL as we call her Lady of Leisure (LOL), do not do any chores in their house than a bit of cleaning (when she wants), a bit of cooking (when she likes to cook). She did not experience working as well because my FIL do not like her to work. As for most of the chores (laundry, mopping, dishwashing, cooking and others), my FIL do it for her. One lucky gal if I may say.

That is funny! In most ways that was how I did things when I was married. I wanted things cleaned the way I did them and it was easier for me to just take care of them. I wanted foods cooked the way I like them so I did the cooking. While my daughter was growing up she always watched me cooking. She cooks just like I do so I don't mind if she does the cooking. (Usually, we take turns cooking.) She didn't like having to separate out her clothes from towels and sheets so she does her own laundry. *shrug* I don't have to wear her clothes, so I don't care how she washes them.

she used to go to the cinema thrice a week and watch 2-3 movies a day. She will go home after she eats dinner. on the days that she is not at the cinema, she spend at home watching drama series. Now she knows how to use youtube so she her phone is always with her

Wow - there is no way my dad would do all that for my mom (he says that's not a man's job ). My FIL retired early and he used to do most of the household things - like cooking and such. But my MIL liked to work and do other things - plus she grew up in a wealthy household where there were maids and cooks - so she was used to other people doing this stuff for her. Well, I guess your MIL at least got her laundry rinsed .

Oh, my! It’s nice to be pampered, but not to be helpless. My mother had live in help, but she did everything with them - cleaning, dusting, cooking, etc. My father did the grocery shopping and laundry.

Back home, I do the washing of our clothes on the washing machine and take care of the garden. My wife does the shopping, cooking and cleaning inside the house and I do the outside.

Very lucky woman but a spoiled one. Having a husband like your FIL is great. Is your husband like him? I mean if he helps you at home.
