Guess what's happening on Monday?

Guess what’s happening on Monday? Usually, I hate these sorts of questions as I never have any idea what I’m supposed to say. However, now I’m asking you: guess what’s happening on Monday? I’ll give you some clues. We bought a bale of hay today. We’re going to have two new family members soon. Their names are Harry and Solomon. Between them, they have eight legs. And woolly coats. Can you guess now? I’m really excited so come Monday evening, I’ll be able to post photos so that, if you haven’t guessed, you’ll be put out of your misery. That’s just a funny saying that means I’ll give you the answer so you’ll be able to stop wondering. Another clue would be the photo of Herc

@HazySue They know their names too so we can't change them - not that we would anyway.

@JudyEv That's ok. A weird name gives them a bit of distinction.

I know now, you missed Herc too much and a new (young?) sheep (or more than one...) is going to be part of your family.

I don't even try to guess on questions like that anymore. The last time someone ask me something like that the answer was related to the "adult conspiracy to keep interesting things from juvenile minds". And I wished they hadn't told me, either!

@JudyEv Yes, and I don't like to lose, even my own peace of mind. Congratulations! I'm sure you'll make them into pets in no time.

Such questions are usually a lose-lose scenario, aren't they? We're getting two pet sheep.

Not quite. These are coming from a place near them. They have no feed for them and have four horses and it's all getting too expensive so they are giving up the two sheep.

Oh boy...more sheep for you! Will you make things out of their wool? Do you have a spinning wheel?

I used to have a spinning wheel but it used to make my back ache and in the end I sold it. They'll just be pets.

@snowy22315 Such a small amount of wool would be worth very little and there is not much you can do with it so I'll let the shearer keep it. He can add it to other small amounts and eventually get a small sum for it.

Seems like you have stopped being 'wandering Jews" :Looking forward to your pets. I just could not guess though when you said they had 8 legs between them with fur on them. Could be 2 tables heaped with fur. Right?

Eight legs between two had to be four legs each so animals. With woolly coats - and I've written a lot about Herc, and I put a photo of him - so sheep! Easy.

Poor old Herc passed away several years ago so we've been sheepless for a while. I don't know much about these two. I think one is a Texel cross and I think Texel wool is used for carpet. I'll know more on Monday. I'm glad there are two. Apparently they are very good friends and have been together for a long time. Harry and Solomon - I'm still trying to get over the names!
