Vegetable Soup Dinner

Have been cooling a vegetable soup in the slow cooker a few hours today.
With the snow falling again, has been a cold day. Soup seems to be a good dish to eat on days like this. I use whatever I have on hand for this one.
I added a little hamburger meat, potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes, corn, green lima beans, a few pieces of okra, and chicken broth.
Also baking cornbread to go with it. Will be eating shortly.

@LowRiderX I do as well, I use my fork with the meat it is so tender. I keep my cooker on low, not bad on the electricity.

@CarolDM I'll try it, I like it when the meat is well cooked in slow cooker, when it melts in the mouth My dad didn't like it slow cooker, he always say, that it consumes a lot of electricity and that due to the length of cooking all the quality ingredients that vegetables or meat contain are killed

That sounds delicious with the exception of the okra

@CarolDM Ever since I found out what the inside of okra looks like, I've been grossed out about it.
I used chicken instead of ground beef this last time and I really liked it better than using ground beef. I seasoned the chicken with my own taco seasoning mix and then baked it in the oven before I shredded it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I know, Dustin never liked it either. But this is chopped, and is good. Each to their own. I didn't have chicken thawed today.

Enjoy it you've not eaten it already.
No snow here but it was a cloudy day and not as warm it the wind child we cooler. Yesterday was sunny and felt warm inside all day long.

@CarolDM we have sun it seems every other day or so. Our it begins cloudy and we get sun later or the other way around.

Mmm, looks good & perfect for cold days. I'm eating light. Soy beans mix in mayo with sprinkle if garlic salt and tuna salad wraps it celery topper. I love fresh diced round onions in tuna salad.

Your vegetable soup looks delicious. The older I get the more I like vegetables.
