Since the pandemic has began, our government has only gave us a couple stimulus checks and those were far and between one another. and needless to say, too small to really help the majority of people out financially. There are other places that have given a stimulus check monthly though. I wish they would do that for us here but it is highly unlikely. I wonder why other than greed of our hard earned tax money? We are not economically well here in the U.S. either.

@allen0187 You got that right! I am so grateful to be able to at least help by earning some income from home online.

I wish I could agree, but I am not necessarily totally on board with this. Look, at some point while it is the fault of the government that certain businesses were shuttered and people put out of work, I also think there is ONLY ONE solution to this problem. OPEN IT ALL BACK UP! EVERY BIT OF IT! Look, the issue is that if essential workers can suffer the POSSIBILITY of getting Covid through working with the public, and in some cases being forced to, so can non-essential workers. The bottom line is no amount of stimulus is going to help anyone. It's not sustainable. AND we are going to all have to pay this money back eventually through higher taxes. I say, no more stimulus. No more unemployment extensions. No more PPP. Open the economy back up, and if we don't, when people suffer they will shout, and politicians will hear, and will have no other option to get people back to work.

It will help some people who cannot get or has not got their unemployment though just a little bit. I agree to open it all back up. the government is trying to control all of us it seems. The essential workers were to be compensated also for the risk and dedication but that never happened either, yet they send our hard earned tax money to other countries instead of helping their own people like they should. I'm tired of not being able to buy groceries and things also because things are supposedly out of stock all of the time. A lot of people did go back to work but there is still an issue it seems.

@stephcjh It is a bad situation all around. That's for sure. And I mostly agree with you. I think something else should be said about this situation... Time for people to get their financial houses in order. Part of the problem is not that the jobs ended. It is that people live paycheck to paycheck and shouldn't. It is no one's responsibility to take care of people who cannot and will not take care of themselves. People need to stop spending every dime they make, plan for the future, get some savings together, and not expect people to bail them out because they have made poor decisions. The government also needs to stop sending people like me stimulus checks. I have not stopped working, I don't need the money... So, the money they send me could help someone else. All I am doing with it is investing it and making even MORE money from it. And again, I don't need it. If my job ended tomorrow I would live just fine, and for quite a long time.

@stephcjh Who's fault is it if they work in jobs that don't pay enough? This has always been an argument that for me, falls on deaf ears. It is not the responsibility of a business to pay anyone a liveable wage. It is the responsibility of the individual to get off their duff and do something that PAYS a liveable wage. Look, I have no disrespect for someone who chooses a career working for Burger King. But if that is all you can do is flip burgers? You get paid for what you do. And flipping burgers doesn't pay much, nor SHOULD IT. If you decide you want to flip burgers, don't complain about getting paid for flipping burgers. The real complaint should be that that person has decided all they can do is flip burgers. If flipping burgers doesn't pay the bills, do something other than flipping burgers. It is as simple as that.

Federal government needs to step aside and demand state and local governments take care of their people. People need to step up and demand their bureaucrats do their jobs. If they are in lock down they need to get together and all of them open up anyway. What are they going to do, arrest a whole city/town, county? On the other hand Biden did promise those checks and he needs to get them out We all know the money being sent around the globe is just to reach the backdoor to their own pockets and the pockets of bureaucrats in other countries they want to appease. THAT money is bribe money plain and simple and absolutely should go to America/Americans. States that are open are doing well.

The $600 check was a joke. That is less than 1/2 of one month of my rent.

The stimulus checks are not generated from our tax dollars. This money is borrowed from countries like China. The US is trillions of dollars in debt.
All the stimulus checks, debit cards, and direct deposits that are going out are out. Folks want their money and they’re waiting for it. RELATED: Your mailed stimulus check could take up to four weeks to get to you Recently a viewer wrote us: My parents wh

Yeah, but that is because they keep sending our tax dollars overseas or blowing it on themselves it seems.

I hope so too. They are sure taking their sweet time sending it out though. I heard it will be sometime in March. They should send that to us until the economy gets back on track. They were supposed to send it immediately when Biden took office but of course, that didn't happen.

That is what I have heard too but we will see,. They keep prolonging everything as usual. I also heard they were trying to make it happen before March 14th but they move too slow when it comes to helping people. They just want to sit around and argue about it and work things in for their own agenda and pockets. Always a delay! The government is not like it used to be. For The People!!!!!
