Good ol' Biscuits and Gravy

Tonight I am going to be making breakfast for dinner! Biscuits with homemade white pepper gravy. This is one of my favorite southern meals!
Only thing missing is some sausage patties and eggs. We don't have any sausage but we do have eggs that need to be used. So I think I will make some scrambled eggs to go with it.
I just have to make sure I save some eggs for my boyfriend's cake. It's his birthday on the 26th. He wants me to make a Devil's Food cake with chocolate icing. Yumm, yumm!

This is a favorite for us here too for a dinner meal but we do get burned out of it at times if we have it too often. We take a break from it but not for long lol. We usually have some back too. Happy Birthday to your boyfriend. That cake sounds yummy.

Thanks for the Happy Birthday, he isn't too happy about it though, he says he's getting old (31).
Yea, we don't have it too often because it's pretty unhealthy. Every once in a while is good though to treat ourselves.

@AngelisaQT You're welcome. I know the feeling. I feel old too at 49. Going to be the BIG 50 this year.
I don't eat much biscuit. Just one or a half of it with the gravy. Biscuits are too filling and fattening for me.

I love breakfast for supper. I never did learn to make good biscuits, but it's just as well since my husband has to eat gluten free.

You know what, that's what I absolutely love about this place. GREAT IDEAS!
I LOVE biscuits and gravy. But my wife does not. But what if I made a combination mixture of scrambled eggs to layer on to the biscuits with that delightful sausage laden gravy?
I bet my wife would go for this. And it would hardly ruin the dish.
I am going to try this, and I bet my wife will love it come hell or high water. Thanks for the great idea, even if it was not entirely what you suggested.
