Yes, it's another episode of "How to Steal @TheHorse 's Schtick."
Six years ago I bought a MacBook Air. I always felt it paid for itself almost immediately because I didn't have to pay for all the things that Microsoft makes you buy after you get a new computer (like Word, Excel, etc. Mac has all of its software on the computer without any additional charge or "30 day free trial" or "$99 a year lease" baloney).
Well, today the old Mac paid for itself yet again.
I've been contemplating getting a new computer, because I couldn't use the printer (kept getting an error message) and it kept telling me I didn't have enough space to download the most recent OS version (which I think is Big Sur). So, in hopes of saving myself from having to buy a new computer, I called Apple Support.
Yes, you read that correctly. I can actually call the company and get technical support.
An hour later, I had my AirPort updated, my printer issue fixed and set up to print wirelessly, and the computer cleaned up enough for the update.
In other words, I don't have to buy the new, $1,200 computer and fixings. Nor do I have to buy a new printer.
Fourteen hundred bucks I don't have to spend.
And that feels GREAT.
Horsey has fabulous taste in music, if I do say so myself.
So, to compensate for stealing his idea of "how myLot helped me make $xx.xx today," here's a little Jesse Winchester:

Glad to hear you're such an Apple fan. I'll stick to windows, thanks. Hardwear issues aside, most of my computers are 10 plus years old, and working perfectly. Almost brand new. I also feel the annual Microsoft subscription is well worth it, because I use Outlook every single day. Never been a huge mac fan, even back in school. Plus, I've become use to a touch screen.

The iPad has me spoiled rotten when it comes to touch screens! That was another reason I'm so thankful we got this one up to date: I don't really use it that much anymore, save for things like loading songs onto my phone or making new ringtones. Most of the time I myLot from my iPad.

@FourWalls I have to use a pc to mylot, still. I need the screen reader support. But windows has 2 in 1's where you have a touch screen. For times where keyboard commands are useless and i have no idea where the mouse is, the touch screen comes in handy. Plus I can comfortably disable the mouse because I don't really need it.

Usually after a certain amount of time you can no longer get support on a computer. Amazing! I'm so glad you were able to fix your problems.

I know. Windows 7 doesn’t even exist anymore to Microsoft, so forget getting updates, let alone support. I know Macs cost 2-3 times what a PC costs up front, but I feel it’s more than paid for itself, just with the customer service and tech support!

The only problem I have with my MacBook Air is that I too often hit the caps lock key when trying for the A.
