How often do you buy a major appliance?

I guess the answer for most people is when I need to..The answer for some people though is they are renting and it is included with the rent. I bought a small size freezer a few months ago, but I was just looking at an attractive fridge with a bottom drawer on it thta I don't currently have. It was at Sam's Club. There are things I definitely want to buy first...but I think I am gonna have to put that on the list. Although I don't desperately need one, I could use a new fridge for sure. This one was such a horror though when I first got it it kept breaking..fortunately it was under warranty. The last guy that came out put in a new control panel and it has worked fine for 10 years. I would love to upgrade though. Also, my DW give me fits..if I could get one that had a self cleaning filter I would be thrilled. Appliances anyone?

I hope so. I bought a dryer a couple of years ago..and I was afraid I would need to buy a washer too, but it seems good for now. I might also need a tankless water heater at some point..

@DianneN It sure is. Houses and cars are always needing money poured into them it seems.

I buy when I need, we own the house, we bought new appliances when we bought and everything is still working. We bought an additional freezer last year, because I wanted one more to store food when we noticed less food on the shelves during the lockdown.

@snowy22315 I had a free space in the basement where to place the freezer, I am glad we bought, it's full.

@LadyDuck My parents for some reason, have two full size freezers in the basement. They do sometimes entertain sis and her family for like a week at a time..but really...two freezers??

Yes, I wouldn't mind upgrading everything honestly, but I can just do it here and ther as I am able.

Yes, you are lucky to have gotten that much use out of them..but you aren't really home that much.

My fridge is making noise so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the next appliance I will have to buy (knock on wood ) but if money was no object I'd probably want a new stove first.
I've already had to replace my washer and dryer in the past few years.
