I don't eat apples often, unless you count apple butter or apple sauce. Mike wanted an apple so I bought a cosmic crisp and we shared it. It was good. It was sweeter than the last one I ate. I think that is why I don't like them as much as other fruits, not sweet enough for me. I will try peanut butter sometime with one. Have a blessed evening.

I like to eat them since they are good and healthy. When you add peanut butter it helps the taste to me.

@CarolDM I am glad that you have apples that you enjoy. Very interesting eating an apple with peanut butter. I never tried that. I like eating peanut butter plain or on celery or with chocolate spread.

i have never tried apples with peanut butter, i cannot imagine what they'd taste like.

I only pair it with salt so it becomes sweeter.

I like them when they're fairly fresh, but they do have tougher skins than I prefer. So many times the ones we get at the grocery store are several months old.

I like apples a bit tangy, but not sour, my favorite apples are the "Pink Ladies". The fuji apples are very sweet.

Never tried that particular combination, though I guess it should work! I don't think I've tried Red Delicious - or if I have had them it's so long ago that I've forgotten. Haven't seen them here recently. We do see Golden Delicious in the shops but they are my least favourite variety.

@CarolDM There are so many varieties of apples. We often get Royal Gala, Spartan, Jazz, Braeburn, Bramley ('cooking' apples although we like to eat them too), Pink Lady, Kanzi, and Cox's orange Pippin; this time I also bought Cameo (haven't tried those before) and in the garden (not at the moment obviously, but in August) we have Sunset, Discovery, and Worcester Pearmain. That's quite a few isn't it?

I have eaten thi all of my life and still enjoy. These apples have sort of a sweet flavor. The golden are good as well.
