Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

At the grocery store the other day, I gave in to the smell of fresh homemade cinnamon rolls. They were just takin them out of the oven. I said.. Yes, please! A pack of four is all I got. But they are really big and filled with cinnamon and sugar. No they are not healthy, but this was my treat. All about moderation. So good and they smell wonderful. My Mom used to bake a lot and she made these cinnamon rolls as well. We would wake up to the smell of the freshly made rolls. Like a bakery. Good memories.

@marlina One drive back home, five hours drive, friend and I shared one. I got kind of comatose from all the sugar. I sure was glad she was driving us!

@marlina The town that I might move to has several Americana restaurants. Each one outdoes the other one on the size of their cinnamon rolls- big as plates. All that frosting on top plus the roll itself is just crazy to think about eating it all at one time.

Freshly baked cinnamon rolls is one my downfalls in life! I do eat them in moderation, of course. My mother baked homemade cinnamon rolls and bread also, what a blessing!

We love them too! It has been a good lesson in baking with yeast for the kids . . . we've made them a few times in the past year . . . yum yum yum!!
