@porwest It doesn't boggle my mind. I have money on my mind every single day. I do not have money to invest and take a risk on losing nor do I have extra to invest anyway outside of the 401K.
If I had money to play around with, then sure I may invest some of it.
Those who have money wouldn't understand.

at my place the cost of insurance is also getting more expensive, the price can choke my wallet. I hope the government can handle this soon. it is very unfortunate that the cost of insurance is so expensive it will be burdensome for the little people. With the high cost of insurance becoming increasingly ineffective to reach all levels of society, it seems that people are becoming increasingly indifferent to themselves

Life insurance is good when you have children dependent on you but when they're grown up you won't need it anymore. Actually, your life insurance is for those who depend on you. Perhaps health insurance would be of better use for you when the children are grown up and have their own families. I would not mention beyond health insurance as it may sound morbid.
