dreaming of food

This morning when I woke for some reason I was dreaming of eating chicken noodle soup. Funny thing is I no longer have much of an appetite any more but strive to get things I like and can get more down cause I have lost weight consistently So when I woke I ask daughter to get me some of that soup. She looked at me shocked (it was breakfast) but got it. Usually I can't eat a whole can but it went down without a problem. I thought of that commercial back in the 70's. A man would be drinking Alka Seltzer and lamenting that phrase. Now if my indigestion stays away maybe I will keep it up. Ever get a strange craving for something you don't normally eat ?

Yes, I do have strange cravings at times. I wanted a hamburger the other day, so Jay cooked some on the grill. Today, we will have the rest of them for supper, hopefully!

I'm glad you got a craving for that. Hopefully it wont' cause you any indigestion. Lately it's been peppersteak. I rarely cook it because it's such a hassle.

I know what you mean. I used to love to cook but some things took too much time so I would only do it when I could no longer avoid a craving for it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum my daughter does the same But she works and has a lot on her right now and it's too bad others in the house don't cook every day. They could but don't and we can't afford to be like that. It's why I never catch up with bills

@bunnybon7 I'm the type of person who will sometimes buy already chopped veggies at the supermarket even though they are pricier. Sometimes I want the taste of a complex meal but not the task.

I don't like nuts but sometimes I crave to eat one. But as soon as I put them in my mouth, I regret it.

When I was a kid, I sometimes wanted chicken noodle soup for breakfast - my mom didn't mind because a can of it was easy peasy to prepare . Glad you were able to eat it a-ok. I will sometimes crave a horrible sweet - something I know that isn't good for me, but still my tastebuds just want it .

yes. Loved it when I was a kid but not so much these days. Now sweets we mostly all crave because sugar is in most all we eat these days

@bunnybon7 I'm so glad you were able to get that soup and enjoy it! Sometimes I get a cravings to bite into pickled onions. I used to eat them a lot but got sick of them but I think it's more the crunch I enjoy rather than the taste.
