Rather than have you all wonder ‘what the dickens’, I’ll let you know immediately that the strange image is a balloon of a sea-horse which came free of its moorings at the swimming carnival we attended recently.
The coastal town of Esperance call themselves the Esperance SeaDragons and the balloon was attached to their shelter for most of the weekend. But sometime on the Sunday, I spotted it floating overhead and snapped a shot. It was out of sight in an instance. I was hoping against hope it would look like a sea-horse but it’s just a green blob. Oh well, can’t win ‘em all.

When I first gazed at the photo, I could not tell at all what the item was floating in the sky. But once you said it was a seahorse, it immediately made sense to me, as my brain could instantly recognize that it was indeed a seahorse. Funny how suggestive messaging can affect what we see in front of us. If you would have told me it was a pea of the sort from the story "Jack and Giant Bean Stalk," my brain would have interpreted the image to be that of a pea starting to grow its stalk.

@wolfgirl569 That's true. I only had time for two photos and it was gone. The other is just as bad.

It was just a shame it didn't look more like a seahorse.

Great shot, That balloon looks like it has a mind of its own and a definite destination.

What a great shame. It would have been great if it had been recognisable.
