Why I'm glad I am not a cat person

So I have the front door open, letting the evening air bathe me in soft aromatic breezes. Kitty is on my welcome mat, outside the front door, guarding.
Suddenly, I realize it's 10 PM and I have a Covid shot at 8:30 AM. I have to go to bed. I start to close the front door, essentially asking Kitty whether she's going hunting or wants to come in. The door is at about 10 degrees when she realizes I'm serious and darts in.
She arches her back and asks me to pet her (we get descent purr going) before she heads to her food bowl, which is now inside (because of the raccoons, of course).
I hesitate to go to bed, as she might want to go carousing outside after she eats. So I bang out a tune on my guitar...
Of course, this is just a drug-induced fantasy. I actually went out and jammed (guitar and harmonica) with a friend tonight.
Can you imagine the poor humans who have to go through these kinds of deliberations? That is why I am not a cat person.

@JudyEv I'm pretty sure he's actually quite happy about it.

When was the last time you were certified sane, pony?
I'm just curious!

That implies there was a first time he was certified sane.
I don’t think he’s ever been sane. He is usually at the meetings. I know, I take attendance.

@FourWalls Well.... he did graduate from college with a degree... although, that doesn't mean he was ever tested, I'd think his college professors would notice if he wasn't sane.

@wolfgirl569 Why, that's just so vulgar. I have to go into my "safe room." OK, so I like playing the straight man. I admit it. I am whipped.

You're supposed to be sympathic toward me, as a fellow horse! I will NOT be ruled by some critter that licks its own butt, demands to be let in at 4 AM, and has cat eyes and...wait...Kitty needs something. I hear her meowing. Back later.

You ARE a cat person. Get out of this denial.

You might give him a little bit of a break... He was a horse person for years. He's still adjusting to having a friend he can't saddle and ride.

Kitty knows you are coming around to her way of thinking

You are quickly beginning to bend to Kitty's schedules. You are unknowingly becoming a cat person.

Mine is staring at me waiting for a treat. Lately, she's been very vocal and clingy. Nothing wrong with her, just behavioral and age.
