March 10 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It was a good day. 54 F when I left for the Y this morning. I wore my hoodie instead of my winter jacket.
I'm thankful for the good workout I had in the fitness center. I didn't swim this morning. I'm hoping to tomorrow. We'll see.
I'm thankful I finished that romance I've been reading for the last few days. Now, I can get rid of it. It was more than disappointing.
I'm thankful the puzzle behind me is starting to take shape. I can find between three and five pieces a day now. I might get the white finished before spring or at least by Easter.
I'm thankful for the banana bread muffins I made today. Instead of making bread, I thought muffins would be good. They are and took half the time to bake.
I'm thankful for today. It was a nice quiet day.
What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image is mine. The status of the puzzle right now.

I want to start by saying, I am thankful for the day. Each day is a gift and I don't believe in wasting them.
With that being said, I am thankful for my husband not only coming home happy, but that he felt like mowing the lawn and was excitited about it. During the summer (now that we're on our fourth year) he will complain about having to do it. Who can blame him? Florida heat can be intense.
I was able to get a bath today and wash my hair. Because George came home early, I got to take a bath and enjoy the natural light from the bathroom window. So that makes FPL a little less happy, me very happy. I washed my hair because it needed it and it's almost dry. I'd been able to get in early enough and enjoy a bath.

Remember you asked. It was disappointing because 1) Redundancy. It was horrible. The author mentioned the same thing at least three times in each chapter and ended it the same way almost every time. 2) Action - None! 3) Drama - None! Even the foreshadowing came to nothing. There were several points in the story when I would have taken it in another direction and really thought she would, but didn't. It was a huge letdown. I don't like romances to begin with and only bought the book to find out about the publisher. It's a Christian-themed book with very little to recommend it. I have a problem child I'm working with. i.e. a romance. I wanted to know about the publisher as a possible fit for my story. I don't fit. It's for black authors only. That's not the only reason I don't fit this publisher. My books have action and drama to them. They're also very slim. 217 pages. It wasn't worth my time.
I'm glad you spent time with the kids in the morning.

That's a hard puzzle, it's similar patterns would make it this way. Banana muffins, yummy! Thank you, for your prayers:) Romance novels are story lines that I can't read. I submitted an application today, it was tough.

We have wind today. The wind is howling outside. When I looked at the weather report, it showed 25 mph. The weatherman said it would gust to 45 mph today. I believe it. I'm not going to the Y this morning. My little car would shake in that wind.
It is tough. I put it together once before. I looked for the picture of the finished puzzle, but couldn't find it. I just might frame it this time when I finish it.

@just4him Great read. The puzzle is going to look so amazing when it's done. Sorry the book was more than disappointing. I hope the next book you read won't be.

@just4him Cool, best wishes with it! I've never done a big puzzle like that before but I'd love to try one day.

I am thankful today for having some assurance from the Immigration office that my wife and I are covered by the 2-month automatic visa extension and that we won't be staying here unlawfully the day after tomorrow. I've been calling the Visa Verification Service for 2 days to inquire about our status. The lady who took my call today said there is some glitch in the system that is why our extended visa does not appear yet in the online inquiry. Enjoy your weekend!

@just4him I got the email from Immigration last night approving a new 6-month visitor visa for us. We can now have more time to look for flights home when the spike in infections that is ongoing there goes down.

Homemade baking is a fun thing to do. I especially enjoy the eating part! I'm thankful for finishing my winter jigsaw puzzle. I always enjoy figuring them out and find them relaxing, stimulating and enjoyable
