During my childhood years, most girls were not fond of playing a dress-up game. It is not because they do not want to. They were into outdoor activities. Let me describe one of their games. It is not a complicated mechanic because they just need cassava's think stalks and curls their hair. Have you ever tried to do this before? What childhood game that you can remember? That's a painful punishment. We did love playing hide-and-seek at night.

@rakski In my city, the girly girls do not do this. They had experienced this activity in lowland areas.

Before I turned 12 I had no interest in dressing up or curling hair.

My younger sister never had played this in the past. I only had seen with my girl classmates during primary school

Why are you curling your hair like that, Shavkat? And when did you get your ears pierced? I just don't understand you, my friend. *shake my head*

I have long hair now. So it is possible to be curled. But I do not want to.

@Shavkat When I was a teenager, I had my hair curled. I wore it that way for several years. I will look, but I don't think I have any of those pictures on my computer.

I am sure there is a role-play, right? The mother needs to have curly hair before pretending to go to the market.

This reminds me of when I used to play `hairdressers' with my friends. They used to borrow their older sisters curlers and pretend to give perms.

I think most young girls in the past love this kind of game. The only difference is that it is not messy to play with childhood friends. I used to laugh seeing the girls harvesting the cassava plant's think stalks.

That's quite...creative. Won't the hair smell of the branches afterwards? Nah, don't answer that. When I was a kid, I don't care if my hair would smell.

That's pretty clever, have to admit! When I was a kid, I preferred being outdoors too. I loved being on my bike, rollerskates, or skateboard. But what I loved was making soup or pies/cakes out of mud !

I did, I did! But my hair is too thick so the curls didn’t last long

I am not planning to try with my long hair now. I just want to share it since young ones in my country will not do this anymore.

this is cool. we used to play hide and seek, we used to imitate teenage mutant ninja turtles and pretend we're turtles, we used to play "plans" - two teams, one team hides, the other looks for them. those who hide have to write a "plan" of their hideout and the other team has to read the plan and find them by following it.
