Most days I cook breakfast for my husband and myself, then about mid afternoon I cook our main meal of the day. Closer to bedtime we have a light snack of some sort. But this morning we drove to a small local restaurant for breakfast. I had link sausage, scrambled egg, biscuit with strawberry jam, grits, some of my husband's hashbrowns, and coffee. It was so good! I love being waited on and they have the best breakfast and lunch buffet. Of course still wearing masks to walk in. Then later we got take out from a small local BBQ place for dinner. My husband got the BBQ Chicken plate with candied yams and green beans and sweet tea. I had a yummy BBQ sandwich with slaw on it, french fries, and sweet tea. So, I've enjoyed eating out twice today. Tomorrow I'll probably cook a venison stew. Have you had some good eating today?

Yum, that is a favorite breakfast. Dinner sounds good too. Happy for both of you. Homemade bread earlier.

I love, love home made bread! I guess it's just as well I can't make it since my husband has to eat gluten free.

I used to love eating out but of course, being alone I have not gone out in ages, I was not too hungry I had corned beef hash and eggs sunny side up for breakfast, skipped lunch and then had a cream cheese, peanut butter, and jelly sandwich I love the flower decoration in your photo

If we eat fast food for breakfast sometimes, our favorite is Bo Jangles ham and egg biscuit.

From time to time my wife and I will go out for breakfast. But ironically if we do it is never at breakfast time. lol. The closes place around here is Denny's and it is good enough. When we lived in Wisconsin our go to place was George Webb's. DELICIOUS! And I almost always got a Denver omelet with hashbrowns and sausage links. I like putting pancake syrup on my sausage. Yummy.

@1creekgirl I wish there was. George Webb was pretty much a Milwaukee thing.

@1creekgirl I think it's like soup, with more spices, and thicker, tastier taste, From tan bony : Lontong refers to compressed rice cakes, usually served as an accompaniment to curries and stews or as a side dish with peanut-based sauces.1 In Singapore, the term lontong also refers to a dish of vegetable stew in coconut curry, known as sayur lodeh, to which the compressed rice is added

I don't know what I'll be eating for lunch and dinner today yet. I love buffets as well, Vicki.

Good home eating, as all our restaurants are still closed and will stay closed until after Easter. I see that I have to cook for a while.

@1creekgirl Our restrictions had to end before Easter. The government representative spoke yesterday to say that, due the too many cases in Europe, it is not safe to reopen, to avoid to have tourists coming and bringing the virus. I have to agree, even if it is sad.

The restaurant we ate at seems to be in a time warp and except for wearing masks, has never heard of the virus. Well, they do provide disposable plastic gloves when you eat from the buffet. Maybe your restrictions will ease up soon.

That sounds really good. I'm glad you ate out. We need to treat ourselves once in a while. My pastor and his wife took me to lunch on Sunday. It was very good.

I enjoy eating out sometimes, but the best part is the fellowship with friends.

I'm getting ready to cook our breakfast, bacon and scrambled eggs before I work outside for a little bit. Love the flowers in the picture.
