Piping Hot

I always hate it when I'm so hungry and the food I get is piping hot... it prolongs my agony and most of the time, I'll be too stupid to realize it and still have a mouthful of food... only to regret it because my mouth gets burned eating piping hot food. More agony for me!!! LOL!!! Exactly what happened to me this breakfast as I try to wolf down freshly-cooked beef strips with fried rice.
Anyway, the term 'piping hot' means very hot and usually refers to food. To use it in a sentence, 'The pie that they served during the fair was piping hot!'.
You get my drift... lol!!! Anyway, the origin of the term is from Scotland and this idiomatic expression alludes to something that is so hot that it makes a whistling and sizzling sound similar to that made by high-pitched musical instruments.

Well, I guess those hot meals are good to ensure that it is safe to eat since hot meals mean that bacteria growth in those temperatures is minimal to 0%. But the thing is you cannot just consume it right away or you'll get to burn your tongue in the process.

@sunrisefan
By the time it cools down, you aren't hungry anymore.

@allen0187 When people blow on their food we generally say, "You are just mind effing yourself. It's really not cooling your food." lol

Sometimes, I do not have the patience to wait for the food to cool down.
