The old mylot used to do something I thought was pretty fun. You had the option of choosing your "best response" for your own discussion. It was just a nice, little thing to do to acknowledge a really well thought out response. The only downside was that some people thought it got you more money, which it did not. In addition some people would, for who knows what reason, get upset if they didn't get a best response. I mean, it was just a small thing to get upset about.
Do you wish they'd bring that back?

Oh I used to enjoy the ratings back then too. The only problem was this was abused by a lot of people and JJ could attest to that as he was one of the victims of those abuse. That’s why it was removed by Mylot.

I won't mind it being. And I am okay even if it is not there. I like mylot the way it is..I have not experienced the old mylot and so I am not in a position to compare the two

I remember that and I did get a couple of 'best response' tags. It is appreciated but not the whole point of discussion in my opinion.

Either way would be fine with me. I wasn't here back then so I have nothing to compare it to.

It was a good idea but poorly thought out and in the end it was somewhat abused by people giving 'Best Response' to their cronies. There were many occasions, too, when I would have liked to have given a 'best response' to more than one response, both of which contributed materially to the discussion but in different ways.
I think that the system of 'Likes' which we have now is potentially fairer and more accurate in determining the best response because it depends on all of the people reading the discussion to cast a 'vote'.

I miss that option, but I do not miss feeling obligated if nothing stood out to me.
