What's Your Yay For Today?

My yay for today is....I got my stimulus check. I went online to the bank to pay a bill and there it was 
I certainly can use that extra money.
When our HOA did an inspection a few months ago they sent me a notice that my driveway needed to be sealed and my deck needs to be stained. We have until the spring to get these things done. Some people got multiple and more costly things to do.
I called the guy for the driveway but he hasn't started his season yet so he'll call when he starts.
My son is going to replace a few boards on my deck and then stain it for me. I know he's going to have to fit it into his busy workload but I know he'll do a good job and I'll only have to pay for the deck boards and the stain.
I'll have money leftover from my stimulus to keep as a cushion.
Every day we can find something to smile about and be grateful for. It doesn't even have to be a big thing. Small things count too.
Right now I'm saying yay for sharing my coffee with you all.

Good for you my friend. Lets just hope that everything will be better for all of us these coming days. You dont get to see happy stuff every now and then. Positive thoughts will surely attract positive things indeed. May you have lots of good days ahead of you

Actually I call my deck the poop deck. The neighborhood birds dine at all the nearby feeders and then settle on my deck to do their business. That's probably why it needs attention. Darn birds

what stated as a nasty looking actually turned out fairly nice. The sun came out instead of thunderstorms but the wind is fierce. I'll take the wind and the sun over rain and thunderstorms any day of the week.

@Marilynda1225 Those who get their pension get no stimulus check here, as nothing changed for them, they have no extra expenses, they have not lost their job. The government give money to those who lost their jobs or have to keep their stores closed because of Covid.

My cat and I awakened this morning. Then, on the walk back from the grocery store, I met two more of my new neighbors. So, now I know more than just the property manager here.

I am always in Yay mood on Friday as we look forward to our couple time ( now girls join us and make it family time
)to watch late night TV.
My doctor postponed my scans for Wednesday as she got some family emergency and needed to travel. That was another Yay as spending time in doc's office is not something I appreciate on Friday evening.

It does have it advantages and disadvantages. For me it has more advantages but maybe if I was raising a young family this wouldn't be my choice.
