Another interesting day at Guitar Center! Does God have a sense of humor?

We had a small Open House today (Saturday) at Guitar Center. My job at Open Houses is to try to get people to sign up for guitar (or piano or whatever) lessons. But when I have down time, I turn into a humble sales person in the acoustic guitar room.
Today, I got two people interested in guitar lessons. They didn't sign up. Yet. My hope is that they will. But the oddity is that I sold another guitar. A fella was considering three different guitars, and I tuned them all up for him so he could experiment with them.
He left the store with a new guitar. As I mentioned in a previous post, it's ironic that I am NOT a salesperson, and I abhor corporate greed, yet I'm currently better at selling guitars for Guitar Center than I am at signing up people for lessons with me.
Do you think God has a sense of humor? I love irony.

@xander6464 I wonder how much wiggle room there is at Guitar Center.

Congrats on selling a guitar. Yes, I think the Lord has a fine sense of humor, There are times when things seem topsy turvy to me and I look up in exasperation and I could imagine Him chuckling up there,

@RasmaSandra I do the same. I just look up toward the sky and chuckle.

**repleat**
sales = connection
you connect very well!
Now, i would ask you this. What is wrong with sales? Yes, we all fear the used car salesperson (this baby runs like a charm. we all know charms don't run so when the car stops 100 yards from the dealership, and looking back the dealership has a closed sign in the window you realize it was truly a charm).
But sales as I said in your last post is a connection.
When you care about what you are selling, what's wrong with being a sales person?

@TheHorse teaching my friend is selling. You have information, guidance and structure and you impart that to someone that doesn't know if they actually want it!

As I said before, I think you should get a commission for these sales.

I have no qualms with selling and no qualms with greed. Both have served me quite well, and incidentally I also really like money. lol.
But yes. It IS ironic that you work for a corporate conglomerate and not Pete's Little Tiny I Wish We Had The Guitar You Wanted store.
