Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up in a cold weather today eventhough there is a sun It`s ok summer will come soon and will enjoy a good walk Since, It is cold. I`m planning to prepare a boiled beef soup with potatoes and cabbage. It is another simple food to cook. You just need a slow cooker to make the beef soft or buy a tenderloin part of the beef. I will just have to put all the ingredients into a slow cooker with 1L of water and a teaspoon of soy sauce but don`t put the cabbage together it must be at the last when everything is ready. Just boil the cabbage for 5minutes. Then, it is ready to serve How about you my dear mylotters? Do you like boiled beef with potatoes and cabbage? What are you having now? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo:google

I love my slow cooker. I've made beef in it but not with cabbage and potatoes. Last week I made corned beef with potatoes and cabbage.

@m_audrey6788 Potatoes and other vegetables like carrots, parsnips, leeks, spring onions and parsley. We filter and use the stock to make a soup or a risotto.

I haven't had boiled beef in a long time. It usually uses the cheaper, tougher cuts of meat and the English tradition is to simmer it with onions, carrots and potatoes and serve it in its own broth. Some people cook it with cabbage, as you do, adding the cabbage five or ten minutes before the end of the cooking time, Very often the meat used would be salt beef (which is similar to what is known as 'corned beef' in the US). Boiled beef and carrots (or cabbage) would have been a workman's meal in the old days - ready on the stove for when he got home, Nowadays, it's rather out of fashion.

@m_audrey6788 I will eat almost anything with gusto if I'm hungry enough. To me, your recipe sounds a little bland. I would probably add onions, garlic and carrots and a stock cube if I were cooking it
