I have not shared, but cannot really keep it in. Last Monday night Mickey was hit by a car and killed. From the looks of things, it was deliberate. Someone I know, who told me about seeing a dead cat just out of sight from my front door said he was driving past at 6 p.m. and saw the body. It was not even dark at that time, and there is not that much traffic here. It looks like someone drove up in the yard next door to do it. If that is not bad enough, Tinker is gone. Just gone. He moped around, looking for Mickey. We kept him inside and would not let him out. He was annoyed with us. He got out about two days later and did not come back. Mickey was Bob's favorite. Tinker was a fun big old boy. I still have hopes he just got mad and took up with someone else, or got confused and does not know how to find his way back. We have called for him and left food out for him. I have heard that if you lose a cat you need to put their litter tray outdoors and they will follow the scent home. We will try that I guess. Trouble is, he mostly did his business outdoors. If I put the scoopings from the litter tray out, it will smell like the other kitties. Someone just a few blocks from here posted his family pet cat has gone missing as well. I was not going to put this in a post just yet, but it is all that is on my mind. Bob has buried Mickey back where we have buried Princess. I am getting too old to keep losing pets.
