Rain and Feeling Lazy

I feel so lazy today. It's raining outside and that just makes everything seem gloomy. I know we can use the rain and it certainly is better than snow. We had weather alerts the past few days that wildfires could occur due to the wind and everything being dry. Hope the rain we're getting today helps. I don't have anything planned for today. I'm reading a good book (A Woman of God by James Patterson). Now that I'm nearly 100 pages in I can say I'm enjoying it. Still have to figure out what to make for dinner tonight. I didn't take anything out of the freezer to defrost so that kind of narrows down the options. What makes it even harder is I'm not in the mood for anything. I'm just working on my second cup of coffee and trying to motivate myself. My daughter is working and she must be busy because I can hear her work phone ringing and ringing. Usually she comes downstairs for her second cup of coffee by now. I'm getting used to her being home every day and I'm finding my own routine. When she worked for the other place she was gone two or three times a week and I would have those days to myself. I didn't have to worry about the dogs barking, if the tv was too loud or I was playing my music too loud. I tend to like to have the music really loud if I particularly like a song. Now I think I've figured it out and how loud I can play things before it disturbs her. Since she's not traveling to work anymore and spending hours and hours in the car she decided to cancel her Sirius radio. I benefited from it because I could play it through my Alexa. I liked to listen to the Highway which is a country music station. But, I can find other country stations to listen to so it's not a big deal. Plus it's a savings she doesn't really need to spend. That's my bit of chit chat for now. I feel as if I'm just rambling on and saying nothing of importance Hope you're having a good day

It's good you're finding your way with her being at home more. I love blarring music, especially country. I listen to it on youtube alot when nothing good is on radio, and or dont want the songs on my cds.

Oh wow, you have rain today - we are super dry here . I don't know about our dinner tonight either . I've had to find my routine too with the kids being home all day everyday - it was very different when they were actually in school (yah, I could play my music and sing as loud as I wanted ). I'm so glad working from home has worked for the best for your daughter. Off to do more yardwork now . . . enjoy the rest of your day!

I guess this past year we've all had to make adjustments with family being home every day. I'm not really missing my time alone except when it comes to singing as loud as I want. Nice to know I'm not the only one who blasts yge music and sings Enjoy your day outside!

I felt lazy on Monday of this week, I moved at the speed of a garden slug. Today is alright, just a bit warmer then I like for this time of the year. My hubby and I used to each have satellite radio in our vehicles when we lived out in the country, but we've cancelled that now and only enjoy it when they have a free time period. Our son and daughter-in-law are loving their first year of owning a new vehicle as they have a complimentary subscription. He loved driving our vehicles when he was home from university because of the good music.

That's how they sucker you into satellite radio...they give you the free subscription with the new car My daughter kept it while she traveled because it gave her a wide variety of things to listen to. Every time she tried to cancel it they gave her an offer she couldn't refuse. Otherwise it's expensive. But we don't need it now and I can find plenty to listen to through my Alexa.

Was it always that way or has this past year just made it more difficult?

I like those kinds of days. I hope the rain takes care of the wildfire threat. We need rain too because of the wildfire threats. What we've gotten doesn't amount to much. Is James Patterson's novel a Christian fiction tale? It sounds interesting. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

The book is fiction and the premise is what if a woman became pope. So far its interesting and how the life of Bridget (main character) is touched by the hand of God. It starts 20 years into the future and then goes back to life in current time. I guess I would say its Christian fiction

I've had more energy lately and have gotten more of the heavy laundry done (blankets etc) and I've been spending more time watering the trees, it's really really dry here so rain would be a god send.

Rainy days do make you feel lazy. Alexa has a lot of good stations. Just ask it to play the kind of music you like

I don't think I'm going to miss Sirius as much as I did in the beginning. Yes Alexa will give me plenty of good music to listen too. Hope you're having a good day
