So many stars aligning at the moment

Most of my friends on myLot know that we’ve now sold our house and will be moving back to suburbia. While we will miss this place, we feel we’ve made the right decision. And so many stars are aligning that are reinforcing that opinion.
Once we decided we’d sell, we started a major decluttering and it was going very well. We were taking quite a lot of items to the op shop and selling others. When we got home on Sunday after the music festival we were attending got washed out, our neighbour to ask if we had a double bed for sale. The main guest room has a double bed so we were able to get rid of that.
We listed the house last Thursday and signed the offer and acceptance on Monday. We have an unconditional cash offer so we’ve been able to sign up for our new place. We did this over the phone yesterday. Now the new owners have rung us and are interested in buying some of the furniture and household items as they are keeping their house in Perth. More stars aligning. We might sell quite a few things as it saves moving costs and we can buy what we want when we get into our new place. There will be a bit of money to spare once the changeover happens although we will have to buy window treatments.
There are various items in the sheds that the new owners are interested in too. They are coming on Sunday to have a look at what’s available. In the meantime, we have friends arriving today for two nights, then we are taking items to two car boot sales on Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, we’re still selling things on the local Buy and Sell FB page. It’s busy here at the moment. Lol
Another photo of our roos. We will miss them so much.

Happy to hear that the sale went by and you are able to sell off some of your things easier than you thought.

@BelleStarr We will buy a new divan/couch which will become a bed if we need it. I can't imagine we'll have many people to stay once we move.

I'm actually sad, to hear that you're moving! I've so looked forward to your weekly share, about the roos and of course, your awesome photos. Yet, you and Vince aren't going away, you're just moving to a new location:) This is only a 'goodbye' to your home in the country. I look forward to seeing pictures, of your new home!

I am really sad too but with so much good luck happening, I can't help but think we're doing the right thing. My friend lives in the same village we're going to and she has seen kangaroos on her walks so hopefully I will too. We'll still be able to get out and take our photos so that is a good thing.

@kobesbuddy She has even seen a quenda, which is a much smaller marsupial. We don't even have those here.

I felt emotional looking at those Roos. Took me to the day we had to leave. The cats were to be put in cages and taken by air but they were nowhere to be seen.
We had to leave them behind but our neigbours took them in later.

@JudyEv When my husband climbed on the attic to get my suitcase our pet dog knew I was planning to go somewhere and then he would race from one end of the hall to the other several times.

That is wonderful that things are coming together like that.
It really helps.
I remember when the sold sign went up at our large home out in the country, we had some interested neighbours, who knew what our moving plan was, ask if we were taking certain items. Ron had a really nice garden tractor, which a neighbour eyed, asked us about and eventually he bought. We kept a few rooms worth of furniture and brought with us, although we did not need it, because we knew of a family up here that needed it. We gave them quite a bit, even our nice stainless steel gas grill. They did not have one at that time, and were grateful we gifted them those things. We also had Habitat for Humanity stop by and pick up some bedroom sets, a love seat, recliner and a couch that they could resell. We actually kept very little and it was good.

As the cupboards empty out, I can feel my heart lifting. The CWA (Country Women's Association) has bought our two big hot-water urns that we used to use for our concerts. I'm giving them all the leftover plastic cups and teaspoons as they do a lot of catering to raise funds.

I hope they want a good bit of the stuff you have. That would help a lot.
