I would like to introduce to you Micay, her real name is Michelle. She is the child we are sponsoring in the foundation. She is actually 26 years old but her mental age is 3 months old. She is wheelchair bound and needs regular physical therapy. Her history says that she was born from an unmarried Chinese mother, who gave up her rights to care for her because she was not prepared to care for a child with a mental needs. She was born full term but the attempted abortion by her mother affected the premature closure of her fontanelles or the bone of the skull.

Very sad story. There are so many parents struggling to have a child and yet some are ready to kill their babies.

Poor girl, many Chinese women tried to abort the baby girls, they could only have one child in the past and they wanted a boy.
