I just came across this piece and wondered is it true? We had this discussion here with @RebeccasFarm. Here I found it again what do you think about this? Is success luck or hard work or both?

Hello Laura. I think that it is a mix of both. I guess some people could be considered lucky. I myself, believe that God's blessings follow those who work to make it. We can but try and use the gifts we have. Thank you for the kind mention

You are welcome. Yes you have said it right we need God's blessing and our hardwork ensures that God never leaves the work of our hands unblessed. He opens ways for us.

One needs lucky breaks too like meeting the right person. Hard work ensures success though, but not those that lift you up.

It’s a bit of both. The luck gets you in the door and hard work and brains pay off.

@DianneN I come to think we were created with luck all of us it's just our hardwork that opens it up

Not good advice! While it is true that sometimes the fool ends up with the money, hard work is the best way to success. Hard work often leads to success!

Yes sometimes we work hard but still we don't succeed that's because of the fortune. Luck matters.

Yes, it is true, many successful businessmen made their fortune with hard work but also A LOT of luck. It is the case of Bill Gates, just one example.

What a load of rubbish. " Never think that you will succeed if you work hard " Luck might play a part But if we don't think we will succeed by working hard what is the point of working hard.

I think it is a bit of both. I do not really rely on luck since i am rarely lucky so i do what i am capable of.

Hard work is necessary for success - usually - but a little bit of luck never hurts either.
