My Weeping Cherry Just Before Our Storm

I ran out to snap this photo just as it began to rain. The news flashed huge thunderstorm warnings across our state and in our area.
It drizzled, heard one little rumble of thunder, and saw two faint flashes of lightning.
Thank goodness that storm was a dud! Thank goodness I didn’t put any vegetables or flowers outside.
Why? Because that storm is bringing near freezing temperatures tonight!
Such is April in Connecticut

Ohhh, pretty in pink! What - freezing temps? It is oddly cool here - yesterday and today - but not to freezing temps. They say it might even rain on Monday - though they've been telling us we would get no rain for a long time. Nature is playing tricks on us, I tell ya!!

. Our tree is probably 2/3 that size. Whatever is freezing to you would turn me into a solid ice cube

That's a lovely picture. I read few more posts where people are not happy about the freezing temperatures again after some beautiful warm days. They all seemed worried about their garden and the effort that they put there.

@DianneN You never get to see any of your spring flowers when you're gone I'd imagine. Unless some are still blossoming once you return.

Beautiful shot. The s**w is still clinging to the trees and shrubs (see my latest post). We are going to lose our pretty flowering tree in front of the house.

@DianneN Hubs doesn't know what it is. He says he will saw off the limbs and see what happens. It's blocking part of the driveway and the whole front walk; so a lot of the tree came down.
