My friend's birthday surprise. No one said "Thank you" to me. Part One....

I will be doing some parts to this I apologise. I just don't want this to be one huge long post. Thank you in advance if you do read all the parts. It honestly will make more sense if all is read but there is no need to comment on all of them if you don't wish to. In my last post, I spoke about how I will be doing a surprise for my friend's birthday. I stated in that post that this whole surprise did set me back quite a lot financially. But I wanted her to have a good birthday as her family do not treat her well in general, but have also decided not to do anything for her birthday. I was trying to make my friend's birthday special. Make her feel special, appreciated and cared for. So a room was booked at a resort to which I wanted to decorate before Cheri (birthday girl) arrived. I just wanted to run through it with you all with what happened as I'd love to know your honest thoughts about my friends as well as if you think I am misunderstanding, overreacting etc whatever you think / feel. *On Tuesday, I spent a majority of the day shopping for food and drinks, decorations (specifically orange and green decorations as it's her favourite colours), birthday presents with card, and a birthday cake. So I took care of everything there. *Wednesday morning (the day to go to the resort), I was waiting for Jessica and Phoenix (the other two friends). Jessica arrived first so we went to the resort to start decorating. Jessica did blow up about 7 green balloons then sat down to be on her phone. I continued, whilst being sick with a cold by the way, to blow more green balloons and orange balloons, tied them to various objects, put up streamers, got the table ready (table set out nicely with food / snacks) and set up her presents neatly on a table for her to sit at and open her presents later. I was coughing so much while doing this but Jessica just sat there. She did say she was going to help. But anyway, I did all of that. *Phoenix eventually arrived (late....it disrupted the schedule to be honest). I took Cheri out for a little walk near the pool to show her around and then went to the room where the girls jumped out and surprised her. It was a great surprise for Cheri. ****photo is of the table I set up in the room****
*We spoke for a little bit but then got Cheri to sit at the table to open her presents. I was the only one who had gone out of the way to buy Cheri presents and...

You`re such a wonderful friend. I think you two are best of friends. Right? Yes. There are friends who can`t just help the whole time. They just want to participate on some part but not the whole one.

@m_audrey6788 Thank you so very much for that! That means a lot and again, just thank you for reading and giving me your thoughts. That also means a lot as I just wanted to vent and see what people thought. Helps me process things more. Thank you!

@m_audrey6788 Thank you for your kind comment! I wouldn't say we are best friends. I'm still getting to know her but we are close friends I guess you could say. That is very true!

You are really a good friend. You did so much to make your friend's birthday so special. I hope you are feeling better now and not coughing anymore. I don't understand how your friend Jessica could just sit there on her phone seeing you were feeling bad. And your other friend arrived late. They should have helped you taking care of things for Cheri's surprise. Anyway I'm sure that Cheri is very happy to have a wonderful friend like you

@sweetloveforeve Thank you so very much for your kind comments. Very much appreciated and it makes me feel good. Unfortunately I am still dealing with feeling sick and coughing and it will last for quite some time as this happens every time I go to childcare Prac. I would have appreciated more help from them but I'm glad everything did work out the way I planned otherwise.

This is a lovely decoration. I think that Phoenix could have helped you a little more blowing the balloons, but at least they helped a bit.

@VivaLaDani13 You had a hard work setting up everything and it looked perfect. What a shame your friends were all so rude.

Whoa! That's a nice decoration. The table is set beautifully with all that snacks. Great that you did everything mostly by yourself. A very happy birthday to your close friend. She is very lucky to have you as your friend.

Most people nowadays are not caring anymore. They never appreciate on the good stuff done unto them. I usually leave God to handle them.

@jobelbojel Thank you for that. I really do feel like more help could have been offered to me but for whatever reason, it didn't happen.
