The Best Cuisines Ever

You must be wondering what are the best cuisines that I had back in the day and will have in the future. It is a simple way to say that these are my mom's cuisines. Whatever she cooks and serves on the table, I always like them. The only thing that I hated is eating sauteed bitter gourd during my childhood years. Now, I like it and no problem munching them. Do you like your mom's cuisines? Any favorite mom's cuisine of yours? Image Credit: media.istockphoto.com

I never had seen my grannies cooked and showed their cooking skills. The only best thing that I can see is my lovely mom's meals on the table. I am planning to learn how to cook the local dishes with her soon.

@LadyDuck It's our secret. My dad can cook, too. They have differences in cooking style because they come from different provinces. How about your, dad?

@Shavkat I used to spend 3 weeks at my grandparents farmhouse during summer and my grandmother cooked every day. She was really a great cook. Mom did not like to cook, she cooked because she had to cook, but she had no passion. I took from my grandmother the passion for cooking and two of my cousins too, they are pretty important Chefs in Italy.

I love home cooking ( my mom's, my wife's, my son's and of course my own lol!) but I also love good restaurant food too which I think should not be compared with home cooking, it's like comparing apples with oranges.

All adult family members can cook and I love the way to cook the slow foods in the house. I cannot showcase my cooking skills because it is only me who can appreciate them.

Why not ask to cook spaghetti? I am sure it would be great if you cook with her. A bonding moment, right?

I agree with you 100%! Whatever our mothers cook for us it's always super delicious. But my mother was sickly so she did not do any heavy cooking for us. It's usually my second eldest sister or my cousin brother who cooks for us.

At least, mommy has always the way of cooking meals for us. I honestly did not learn any special delicacies because of no time for doing it. I can only do the basic ones. I bet you are also good at cooking, right?

I am the one who usually cook in this house. Mom is not bad. There are certain meals that she would make but I don't know how to make them.

I cannot deny that I am enjoying the love and care of my mom and it also reflects her cooking style in meals. If I can squeeze my time, I will ask her to pass on the cooking skill to me.

You know you've just burned out your taste buds when something you hated to eat as a child tastes good when you're an adult. Mom cooked a lot of things that weren't good, no matter how many times she forced me to "take a bite, you might like it this time". At least I've never forced anyone to eat bad cooking!

@Shavkat You make them go outside and try it? Isn't that a little mean? They could be sitting at the table while trying your poisono... uhm... I mean your delicious cooking.

Some moms are not that keen to cook in the house. I cannot blame them because it is not their passion and interest. However, there is always in the family who can cook well.
