Can't Eat Without Plastic Forks!!

I've developed a habit that can cost me more money! If I drop silverware , forks or spoons on the floor , I cannot use them again! This is why I'm buying plastic forks and spoons. If they fall on the floor I can easily get a new one. And the same with paper cups. Does anyone else have this problem? Or a habit that is costing you more money?

I just wash any silverware that drops on the floor. I only use paper plates occasionally but since I have a dishwasher it's better for me to just use real dishes, etc.

@LadyDuck i hate to waster money on stuff I don't need Anna @LadyDuck like plastic. I try to use things that can reused and not be thrown away. I live on a budget so I try not to needlessly spend money.

I don`t have that kind of problem. I only use plastic forks and spoons for party. It helps me not to wash too much dishes.

Plastic has been banned here, no more plastic forks, spoons or knife and anyway I prefer to get up and wash my silverware if it falls than using plastic.

@db20747 We recycle plastic bottles and other containers, but plastic forks, spoon, knives, dishes and glasses have all been banned two years ago.

@db20747 I see. If you wash the cutleries well with a dishwashing detergent, the germs will get off.

We eat with our hands. Sometimes with table spoon and don't drop it much. You take care

I use stainless steel or ceramics tableware. If they drop on the floor, I can use another stainless steel or ceramics tableware and that is no problem. I will avoid plastic forks and spoons because it is not environmental. I like to put the tableware into the dishwasher and then they can be used again next time. They can last for a long time.

If it's at home, we Asian would use our hands most of the time. Unless the meals require utensils. Then we'll use stainless steels. I would just wash them and save money.

I am sorry if that is the case for you. Everytime I order food onlinez I always get plastic spoon and forks i use them so that I won't use my silverwares. Sometimes I don't. And I have plenty of plastic forks now.
