In a great gesture, Aussie fast bowler Pat Cummins who is also playing for KKR in the current IPL and is in India donated USD 50k to INDIA'S PM Care Fund.
Not only is the amount good, but he did it voluntarily as he is not an Indian National and there was no binding on him as such and no moral dilemmas or pressures.
Yet his is indeed a praiseworthy and noble gesture as the medical infrastructure in India is unable to cope with the current COVID Tsunami that we are facing.
News Source:
Australia and Kolkata Knight Riders fast bowler Pat Cummins has donated $50,000 to the PM Cares Fund to help in India's fight against Covid-19. Cummins said that he made the contribution to the fund to help the country to purchase oxygen supplies for hospi

That's a praiseworthy gesture. But what a shame that some leftists and liberals tweeted that your donation money is going to a wrong place and will be wasted. Politics and to the extent people can stoop down even in the current situation.

I was not aware of such a comment by leftists or liberals.
Yet it is not surprising given their track record.

Oh that is bad. Often social media can influence others' decisions a lot.

A lot of things seem fishy and nobody knows how things are working in a lot of things.

I am not happy taking monies from others. Don't get me wrong. I believe it increases carelessness of politicos. Moreover, every time another country helps, I feel ..where am I a Lakshmi, if I cannot make my country rich enough. While Cummins money does not come with strings attached, aid received from other countries like China .. there will be quid pro quo. Lack of work experience in politicians is a huge mistake. They dominate others like Harshavardhan, who may have suggested measures but have had to shut up about elections and are now left in the line of fire. Piyush Goyal would have done better job. Modi Shah Nadda trio are not folks who have worked in their lives to have dynamic management capabilities. They can only manage winning elections. Nothing else.

I talked to a doctor and our discussion steered towards low Healthcare expenditure to Total GDP. Yet as per her, many of the budgetary allocations to healthcare systems go waste due to corruption.
I hope the PM care fund is used wisely. Else such donations would not be fully utilized.

A lot needs to be fixed. Perhaps this is the time for people to start writing emails to state and centre officials to get things in place.

India and Australia have had a great cricketing rivalry. Put Cummins is an Aussie yet he choose human cause first, and indeed it is a noble gesture.

As of now, things would take time to get in order.
As of now it looks like a big disease outbreak.

Yes that is a full topic for debate. Yet hopefully there are ways to counter that.

A noble gesture for a country to which he did not belong.
