Pool Process Has Commenced

The guy to prepare the yard for the above ground pool going in was supposed to do the work last week, but the weather did not cooperate and so it was pushed to this weekend. And he's here. The picture doesn't do it any justice, just for illustrative purposes I suppose. I took it from inside the house so as not to make the poor guy on the machine feel uncomfortable. The ground will be leveled and sanded, and then I just have to get my brother in law and my buddy over in the next couple of weeks and put the actual pool up. I will keep y'all posted on the progress.

Better late than never. Now you'll be able to enjoy the pool once summer hits.

@porwest I got a little red in spots on Wednesday. I think the drive was partly to blame. Hubby had the sunroof open and my left arm always had the sun on it.

When it is all done it will be nice. I will have to decide if I want to make a little pathway from the deck to it, or have a small patio put down.

The wifey is definitely happy. We only bought the pool two years ago and it is finally get it done. Not for lack of money to do it. It was just hard to find someone TO do it. lol

So, once the area is prepared, you'll do the rest of the work yourself.

So far the guy is doing a really good job. I am happy so far. Just went out and chatted with him a bit and things are looking up. I'll post an update soon when he goes back up front to get some more sand.

An above ground pool can be lovely. Friends had one with a deck all around it.

I'd love to extend out the deck or put a patio around it. I will have to see once the actual pool is up what I want to do.

That is great you have someone leveling out a place for the pool. Good luck with the assembly

It unfortunately took us two years to figure out who to call. Suddenly "landscapers" dawned on me, and as soon as I said that, my buddy at work said, "Hey, I KNOW a guy." And the rest, as they say, is history.

We had a pool back there a while back, but it turned out to be too close to the power lines and so the city poo pooed that and told us we had to get rid of it. We should be better with the placement of this one.
