Another light dinner this evening. A bowl of Cheerios cereal with sliced strawberries.
Was out most of the day again today. The temperatures got to 80, warmer than was forecast.
But it was still a beautiful day just the same.
Talked to a new neighbor. A couple just moved here form New York. Said they could not afford the yearly taxes there any more. And other conditions they were not happy with.
Good to meet more new neighbors. Seem like a very nice couple.

Those strawberries look delicious!
My friend's father's fiance (that's a mouthful) works for a foster home / school and they have crops. We can go to the school campus and purchase buckets full while supplies last. I just haven't thought to do that yet.

@CarolDM Yum.
I've seen them lately with the short bread and whipped cream right next to it, of course. They're already enticing us with, what's it called? strawberry shortbread?

I love to eat cereal and fruit for dinner! Jay prefers a hot meal, so I do this when he's not home for the evening meal.

A lot of New Yorkers have and are continuing to move to Republican-led states. To the best of my knowledge, most of them are from the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area. That includes the Hudson Valley Region.
I almost had Shredded Wheat and fruit cocktail. But I cooked some ground turkey and a mixture of carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower instead.

@CarolDM Yes, the taxes are unreal there. But, I have not noticed them where I live (yet). And, maybe I won't. Given my situation, that would be understandable. But I guess, in time, we will see.
Yes, cereal is a quick meal. That's why I almost poured a bowl. I was feeling tired and lazy. But then, I remembered that I'd had cereal for breakfast. So, I decided to change things up. Now, I am about ready to take a nap.

@Chellezhere That is one main reason they decided to leave.
Enjoy your nap.

That's good! I do that for dinner too sometimes. Usually Frosted flakes and almond milk.

I'm a New York transplant here in Pennsylvania. Hope they turn out to be very nice neighbors. I'm very lucky that all my neighbors are nice.

It has been years since I last had some Cheerios. If I have cereal it is the granola kind. I need to buy some strawberries. Mike loves them. Glad you have some nice new neighbors. Glad they got out of New York. I read how the taxes are insane among other things.
