Nearly three weeks since my last post - sorry. Gosh, why does that feel like apologizing to a priest for skipping a few confessional visits? (Not confessed since childhood as Don't believe in God doesn't count as a statement of repentance). My dressings changes are not only reduced now but totally at an end. Yay! I still have medical appointments. I had to have a CAT-Scan to check my cancer is fully gone. I should get the results soon. My toaster burnt out, so had to buy a new one. My Mum visited my new home, her first visit since I moved here five years ago. She gave me her old TV se which at first I couldn't get working, but kindly neighbours helped get it fixed up for me. I did a few more photo taking walks and visited a few great bars, including this one for The Observatory pub, Whinny Heights, Blackburn Lancashire. Arthur Chappell

Since you no longer need dressing changes does that mean the area is also totally healed or healed enough to finish on its own?

No need to confess your sins. Same as you I confessed last time when I was a teenager. I am glad that your dressing changes are reduced and I hope you are going to receive good news from your CAT-Scan. I am sure you are glad that bars are finally open again. Take it easy and enjoy your pubs visits.

Sorry... I can make the gestures a priest would use... would that put your mind at ease? *really grinning at you* I'm glad you're feeling better. Congratulations on getting rid of the bandaging. I bet that feels a lot better. You'll still have medical appointments to check to make sure the cancer doesn't come back, too, but those will just be nuisances, I'm sure. I haven't been in a bar in 20 or so years...

@DaddyEvil yes, the tests should be a formality but i'll be nervous until I get the results each time

Glad you're doing a lot better. So wait. Did you move again recently or is it that your mom just had never been to visit the place you've lived in

@thislittlepennyearns she never got round to visiting me before now - she is 80 and dependent on my sister - my recent critical illness made her really concerned to see me

@arthurchappell That makes sense. Critical illness has that effect on people.
