Seems I can't even serf the net without seeing the word COVID. On the plus side I now know what a hemeglobingludenhomoestrananious dimer (HE) is? It's the plug that keeps the air in the red purple thingy.

@AKRao24 I'm sorry. I hope they all are able to recover in isolation and people around you who have not been infected continue to protect themselves just in case. Like you I do want to see an end to this in more ways than one.

We are on lockdown here too but not totally lockdown. We can still go out but we need to use surgical masks at public transportations, buildings, shops and supermarkets. We must be home before 9pm. There other shops closed or not permitted to open. I hope that they can find a cure for this virus.

Unfortunately, we need such news and we need to keep people scared. For an average Indian, vaccine = cure. It is not. Today, I went out, I saw a young man may be under 30, he did not have a mask, and he was sitting on his scooter and his little girl who must be less than 2 standing in between his legs, he was talking to another person who did not have a mask either. A few days ago, I had seen a bunch of laborers negotiating for a share auto, they had their masks. But suddenly the lady spit on the road. No...we have to keep the scare alive...because Politicos don't care.

Unfortunately the over confidence, lack of knowledge, reluctant attitude and illiteracy is making the things worse! :Nothing will happen to me' attitude is another factor!

@AKRao24 Illiteracy and lack of understanding do give that overconfidence. When Dr. Guleria says 85 percent will have mild attack, people do not think the 15 percent will be requiring hospitalization.

Unfortunately, Covid is unlikely to get away anytime soon. We have to practice social distancing, wear masks and steer clear of panic. We also have to adequately use sanitizers.

Though in India everybody is now eligible for the vaccine who are above 18, still people are succumbing to this infection! The worst part is that the young people are getting more infected and they are expiring! This situation is alarming!
