As some of you know, I enjoy making guitar sound hole coasters during my downtime. Collings, an elite manufacturer of acoustic guitars, has been very cool about sending me the raw soundhole disks that they carve out when making acoustic guitars, as has Martin Guitars, one of the most famous manufacturers of acoustic guitars in the United States.
I usually give my coasters to music friends when they host a party, but I occasionally sell them on Craigslist. For "strangers" (no fellow musician is really a stranger) I ask $15 per pair.
I just received an "order" for two pairs, so I reckon I'll be about $30 richer when the day ends. Plus whatever I make on MyLot.
Do you have hobbies that make you money? It's trivial in the big picture. But it's fun to sell stuff that I make for fun.

How does being on Mylot help you earn on Cregslist? Especially if you're doing that seperatly.

It's a big win when you can take something that cost you nothing and turn it into a profit. I would have to say all the sprouting pecan trees, wisteria and muscadine here turn a nice profit for me on Ebay. Although I sell other stuff there, these sales are super sweet. Just takes my time and effort to root them but very worthwhile and it is something I enjoy.

Not as talented as you. The last cake I made turned out to be .. let me not talk about it. What went wrong? Overconfidence...sigh. I think I did not measure the flour properly. Now I am off cake making for a while...with such nasty memory. Obviously, I did not give anything to my prince charming and princess. I still have about 12 pieces.

Did the cake burn? I can eat partially burnt cakes.
See I do not believe in wastage. Yet I live far from your place, so cannot get the cakes transported.

You could perhaps write the relative quantities of Maida, sugar, soda etc for the cake preparation.

You have quite high standard of baking!
I am just good at Tea and heating up for Bread and making chapatis occasionally.
The chapatis sometimes burn a little but it does not feels so bad.

Sometimes I sell bamboo canes for fishing poles or other home DIY projects. Pretty sells some of the herbs she grows online. *shrug* We aren't trying to make money from them but if/when people offer, we accept.

Years ago I made a poem about each grandchild when they were 4 or 5 (old enough to know their personality, etc), then sold a few for other people's kids.

I've sold a few creations throughout the years, but mostly, I just give them away.

We hardly have such things here which we can sell. Some people used to collect coins etc in the times bygone.
Yet those hobbies might not have been money making ones.
Now Mylotting and being on other sites is something that I can count as a hobby- or may be some work+hobby??

No. I used to do a lot of needlework; but I never tried to sell anything. Congrats on the sale.

@TheHorse No. I have arthritis really bad in my hands; and my fingers lock up and hurt. I've abandoned most crafts. :-(
