Do you know Beef Caldereta?

Germany
May 27, 2021 4:24am CST
Hello Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all my dear mylotters I woke up in a very nice day today. Sunny and cool air. I had a great morning walk and will have another walk later again if the weather will not change Have you tried including peanut butter or liver spread in your cooking? The reason I asked is because this dish that I`m going to prepare is similar with beef stew way of cooking. The only difference is that you add a teaspoon of peanut butter and liver spread in it to make it more tastier First you just have to fry the beef with minced garlic and onions. Add water, teaspoon of soy sauce and tomato sauce. Let it boil in a slow cooker for 15minutes if you don`t have a slow cooker the boiling will take long time in order to make the beef soft. After that, when the beef is soft you can add the carrots and potatoes. Let it boil again until the potatoes are soft. Then add the r the liver spread and peanut butter. Let it boil for a 5 minutes then add some olives and red or green bell pepper. Let it boil for one minute and then you have it. You can serve it with a nice steamed rice How about you my dear mylotters? Do you know Beef Caldereta? What are you having for today? I hope you can share it with me here Have a great day and Happy mylotting Photo: google

I know of it but not a huge fan of beef really. I always get confused with 'afritada' and 'caldereta' though.

Oh ok. I like afritada too. It is similar only that caldereta has some liver spread and peanut butter

Without the liver spread it could even be good, a sort of spicy stew. Peanut butter is poison for me, I am severely allergic.

I haven't heard of that, it sounds interesting. I don't really know liver spread - is it like pate? I do add peanut butter to dishes sometimes though.

@Fleura I think it is not available in your place. You just can try cooking it without liver spread. The taste will still be good. Now it will be Beef stew

I think it is because of the liver spread that made it looks like that. I will try to look for a better one. Thanks for telling me

Hi there @m_audrey6788 Caldereta is one of my favorite dish. I love to cook it having the meat and vegetable plus the liver spread. However, due to some budgeting constraint, I seldom cooked it now. Instead, i'm just doing the vegetable version of it but not having the complete ingrediens. Although, I still call it Vegetable Caldereta.

Wow! It is still nice. I never tried it without meat but you`re right. Meat is expensive nowadays. That`s why I only cook little only enough to have a meat taste Thank you
