No Masks and Social Distancing in America

I just read the local news on the Internet that some part of America is starting not to wear face masks and not doing social distancing. The catch is it is allowed for those people who had their second dose of vaccination. I am just concern for kiddies who did not have any vaccines since there no vaccines available at their age range. In my country, it still strictly needs to continue the health protocols, such as wearing face masks, face shields, and social distancing. In your country, it is allowed to do this now? What's your call on this matter? Image Credit: scontent.fcrk2-1.fna.fbcdn.net

There are a lot of people here who never bothered wearing a mask or social distancing, even when they were supposed to be doing it. Even though we've had our second shot, Pretty and I are still wearing masks. Even after you've had your shots you can still get Covid. You just won't die from getting it.

I am sure once we had the second dose with my mom. The health workers will still advise us to wear face masks, face shields, and social distancing.

@DaddyEvil Well, I hope they are not the remnants of anti-maskers.

I live in the US. Masks are still required by a lot of businesses. Notice on the doors, etc. Waitstaff in restaurants all still wear masks. I am fully vaccinated and have been since the end of February, but I know 2 people sick with a variant of Covid-19 so there's that. I will continue to wear my mask unless I am outside away from people, or at home. I haven't come this far to get Covid now if I can help it.

I can feel you. I am sure that we still hope for the end of this catastrophic situation at present. I got my first dose and waiting for the second one together with my mom. But still, we need to continue wearing face masks and face shields especially if going out of our home.

Yes, for sure. It's best to be cautious. This virus is deadly.

I'll still wear a mask and practice social distancing even after getting vaccinated.

@Shavkat good to know. Additional levels of protection are definitely needed.

Vaccinated doesn't mean you will not get infected. Remember that this virus keeps mutating.

I am still careful and take precautions. Being safe is better than being sick.

It is better not to say sorry in the end. We still need to be safe at all times.

in my place, there are many who don't use masks, usually native villagers who don't travel far and don't believe that Covid exists

I hope they can be educated about this matter. I am sure some government sectors can guide them.

And then of course we do have some people who insist that there is a microchip in every vaccine, which is ridiculous. The US government has already known where we are for years now.

@Shavkat the government has educated them, and imposes punishment, but the government also cannot supervise them all the time

They are trying to normalize their lives already. They claim that they have 50% vaccinated already that is why they feel they can do away with the safety protocols already. I am not sure how safe this would be since we have an experience here that some who broke the protocols had an outbreak in their areas. Well in our case it still is not totally safe since we can still see 6k cases every now and then.

@Shavkat My sister in New York has confirmed that it is not required to wear face masks anymore so long as you have yourself vaccinated already. They can do social gatherings now and they are not even strict if you got infected and asymptomatic they would just order you to quarantine and observe yourself.

I think it is not the right time yet. It has been circulating on the Internet that they are allowed now. I hope that they will not be infected with COVID-19 since all the vaccines are not 100% efficient to combat this killer virus.

Mask is compulsory here. You can go out not wearing one though, just be ready to pay the fined. Repeat offenders might have a nice visit to the court.

It is also the same thing here. There is an ordinance that people are not allowed not wear them even if they are vaccinated.

I am sure that things will be fine soon there. We are not in lockdown now. But then, we still need to keep on doing what the government imposed us to do. I hope that they will be safe despite dropping the idea of wearing face masks.

How are the cases in the USA? I have not checked the news. Because here, well, not all have been vaccinated, there were 8,000 new COVID cases yesterday.

It seems that they controlled the situation. For the reason that they are allowing them not to wear face masks.

In India we are far from throwing our masks. Infection is spreading and people are dying.

Good to know. They are responsible enough for their own life. Yes in India we are following it as cases have reduced but not that much so that noone wears mask. Have a good day

Since the pandemic is not fully controlled, we still need to do the health protocols despite being vaccinated.

Here in Kenya we still follow the Covid19 protocol. Many people have not been vaccineted yet, so it's risky. Have a nice weekend my friend and stay safe

I think people who are vaccinated need to be careful because you can still get it. They just do not get sick which means you can spread it and they doing studies on kids because they not sure how harmful the covid vaccines are for kids since they still growing. Its where even doctor are saying they actually understand that part if you do not want to get your kid vaccinated or want to wait to find more information.

Those are the biggest idiots! That's why this thing has gone on so long!! I think it will at least be another two years before this is over. You' can't tell who has the vaccine and who doesnt
