Time to clean out my closet

Going to a wedding Sunday and have yet to pick out an outfit. Need to do it today. I really hope I will find something that looks stylish and is also fitting for a wedding. Otherwise I am screwed. Not much time left to go and shop for something.
While I’m looking for what to wear to the wedding, I think I will also clean out my closet. It’s about time. Gonna look through everything and create three piles. One will be for clothes I no longer like and won’t wear. The other will be for stuff that no longer fits me. (Maybe one day I will be able to wear it again.) And the third will be for stuff I intend to keep. No point in cluttering the closet with things I can’t or don’t want to wear.

I wish I could hire a professional organizer to go through my closet! That would be awesome! I hope you find something you like in there.

The dress I thought I'd wear to the wedding didn't feel as comfy as it did when I wore it to another wedding over a year ago. Doubt I will wear it. I found a few others in the closet I can wear but not sure they are appropriate.

@lovebuglena Maybe you could wear a blazer or jacket or something with the ones you are doubtful about. Unless you go shopping tomorrow I guess you have to wear something you found.

@snowy22315 Even if I drag myself to the mall tomorrow no guarantee I will find something. Maybe I will show hubby my choices and see what he says.

I got rid of a lot of stuff. However, nothing really to wear to the damn wedding.

@porwest My mom saved the day. She got me an outfit from my aunt's boutique and it was a perfect fit. I hope it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Gonna ask her. I asked her when she brought it to me but at that time she had no idea. She was gonna pay after I tried it on and we decided to keep the outfit.

It wasn't much fun. And even though the temps were not hot it was very humid so I was sweating.

Thanks. Hoping what my mom will bring from my aunt's boutique will work. Otherwise I am screwed. And hubby will not be happy.

@LindaOHio I did not. I told mom about them and she said they are not good. The dress I wore to the wedding a few years back, which I thought of wearing this time, was more snug than it was before. Not good when you have a food belly. So that was out of the question. And Mom said the same thing when I tried it on for her.

I wore shiny leggings (looked like leather but weren't) and a stylish top. Looked really good together.

Not sure I will wear a dress. May have to wear pants and a nice top. My mom is bring some stuff for me to try from my aunt's boutique. Hopefully, one of the things will be the outfit.

My mom went to my aunt who sells clothes and found me an outfit. It looks stylish and great on me. Just wish it wasn't super expensive. She paid for it but still.

My granddaughter's getting married next May (a year from now!) and I dread looking for a grandmother of the bride dress. I may be the grandmother, but I don't want to look like a grandmother! And it's a black tie wedding so it's formal. Oh man. But I bet you have something pretty already to wear to the wedding. Good idea to clean out a closet...I should do that too.
