Rain started yesterday and went through the night. Started again today, off and on. In between showers I checked on the day lilies in the front garden.
They are blooming for the first time this year. So excited. These are my sunshine blooms. One will bloom every day. And these are perennial.
They come back every year. Usually blooming from May through September, depending on the weather.
Glad to get the rain and these blooms in the garden. More of the little things.
Photo is mine.

“A rose can never be a sunflower, and a sunflower can never be a rose. All flowers are beautiful in their own way, and that’s like women too.” – Miranda Kerr
I love to look at flowers, but I daren't try to garden myself. These are beautiful.

@CarolDM We get a flower that comes back on it's own each year too, but it does not survive for long. Not sure what it is, but it's red with a yellow center. It's gone now or i'd take a picture.
Glad you liked it! I did too.

@ScribbledAdNauseum There are so many types of flowers. Could have been a tiger lily, a chrysanthemum, marigold, zinnia.

I have three lilies growing up y'all. Two are for sure tiger lilies but I'm not sure if one is a day lily or another tiger Lily. I know the day lilies will spread. I've yet to have a tiger Lily spread so it will be interesting to see what blooms.
I think they are wider than ever before because one is overshadowing a dianthus which I need to move once the weather warms up again and the other is over a ground cover plants that's supposed to bloom yellow flowers but hasn't yet. It spreads but must be a slower spreader than other ground cover plants. It the weeds are coming them out.
I have sunflower seeds to plant if I can remember where I put them and some bills to get into the ground.

@CarolDM That's true and all three of mine are about the same size so maybe I now have a third tiger Lily. Will see once it blooms.

My lilies have come and gone. But a pretty looking flower when in bloom. Taking up the slack in my garden is my rose bush which miraculously is coming back to life?

@CarolDM Yes, wish the lilies blooms would last longer but like my cherry tree they come and go to quickly. Now I get to enjoy my Azaleas which have bloomed!

They look beautiful.
I don't own any plants.
It looks like a lot of work.

@Prabhatsingh No, the rain waters them. If it gets really dry with no rain, I will water but not often at all.
