Even if I don't make payout here this month at least I made something from a different site

I just got a message from pay pal that I received a payment of a little over fifty dollars from hubpages. This is my first payment from them this year. Some years I get paid several times and one year I got paid three times. With hubpages they don't pay until fifty dollars is reached.
I only have one article that earns me money. One day I hope to write more evergreen articles but before I do I'll have to relearn the site.

What's works for me is evergreen content. Are you familiar with that term? I wrote about how to get rid of trees growing in the wrong places in your yard or garden.

@MarshaMusselman They have tried to take too much editorial control and have made it much more difficult to post. You spend more time fixing stuff THEY don't like as opposed to writing. On top of that, many of the "errors" are auto-generated, so you don't have a person with whom you can explain something.

That's true but I probably will still wait a few more years. Plus I have to come up with ideas for more evergreen articles. Those are ones not heard for a specific time of year only.

@BelleStarr it may be worth your while one day to check hubpages out. Evergreen articles might be best but I've not tried anything for any of the other niche sites. It takes a while to generate traffic unless you share the link.

It's never too late to check them out. It's nice finding a good topic that brings in passive income eventually. But I forgot toy have a million articles due already.

@MarshaMusselman I had gardening articles, decorating ideas for the house, how to use solar panels for the garden.... all those that I had written for Squidoo were moved to HubPages when Squidoo closed.

I knew my way around the site years ago but I know writing articles is d differently now. I may wait until I've retired or am working less before trying to do more there.
Your historical she's might do well there but I don't remember where they have something on g or not.

Since you live in the US you're allowed to write for them. In the first year or two it helps too interact.
I no longer interact there and make passive income but I wrote nine articles and only one has done well.
