Good morning Sunday...Being lazy is the plan.

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 9:20 AM as I write this post. Sunday started late for us today. We all woke up around 7:30 AM and that's pretty late even for a weekend for us. . Husband and I couldn't do our Friday night ritual of late night TV watching as I had work on Saturday and needed to be well rested for a long working day with a few meetings lined up before the academic year begins on Wednesday. So we shifted our Friday ritual to Saturday. We watched ( revisited them)few episodes of Big Bang theory and one new season of a Hindi series on Amazon prime. And we went to bed around 12:30 AM. Many of you would have found me peeping in here last night And we all are in a lazy mood today. Bare minimum morning chores and I skipped my exercise too. Had some tea and toast. I am taking a cooking free day. So I have ordered food from one lady in our complex who is into home cooked meal business. So no cooking and cleaning of dishes. I see myself not doing much today and only plan to rest and have fun. Except for helping my younger daughter with her Biology lesson, I don't have anything else on my to do list. I will just follow my mood...just relax, chat, maybe draw or do a bit of organization of my work table, mylot....all will depend where my mood takes. My daughters need few dresses and so we might browse and order. Also I need to explore art and craft ideas for coming academic year. But I am in no hurry. Hope all are having good weekend in their mylot corner What's your plan for the weekend? Picture is of the peas that kept me pretty busy last week. All peeled and kept in ziplock pouches and frozen for future

@arunima25 I usually take a nap in the late afternoon or evening here and myLot and watch movies during my night and then sleep from about 7 am until Pretty wakes me up to do something... Today we needed to water plants outside, spray around the foundations of the house for ants (flying ants are coming into my bedroom) and walked in the yard, picking up sticks to keep them out of our mower. (We have a big yard. It takes us two days to mow the entire yard.) I'm glad you enjoyed your day with your family. Yes, a lot of the time Pretty and I have fun and laugh at the silly things the other one does or says. Family is nice. I hope your work week goes very well and the kids don't drive you crazy(ier) than you already are.

A break from peas. Well, they are in ziplock pouches and in the freezer. We might use some next week. No immediate plans to have them on plate this week. Oh! you woke up at an odd hour. What is keeping you awake? Good that you are filling in the time with mylotting. My Sunday was a good one. Just in a couple of hours, I should be hitting the bed. We had an unplanned day and it was fun. I stayed away from any gadget for the most part of the day. We just giggled and laughed at the silly talks as a family.I guess the most precious times are those that are wasted in silly talks with your family and laughing your lungs outNow everyone is back to their room after dinner and getting things done to start a fresh working week tomorrow. I am all set for tomorrow and can mylot a bit here before hitting the pillow.

@DaddyEvil My students help me stay saneI hope I don't bore them and drive them crazy. I am jealous of your yard. Such space is a luxury in our country because of our huge population density You and Pretty share a very special bondGod bless you both.

Waking up mornings planning to be lazy is all right. Especially so because today is a Sunday. A day of rest. We also order food and laze the day away. Nothing wrong with that. Have fun with Biology. Tough subject. I almost failed it because I couldn't memorize all the phyla down to specific specie. Sigh.

We all need lazy days to get rejuvenated and bounce back with energyOr maybe the lazyness will creep in for long. I loved Biology and I did my Masters in Biotechnology. And I do take some classes in High school to help children who struggle with Science. But my daughters hate Biology to the core. My elder one has dropped Biology in her Pre University course and taken Maths and Computers.

@arunima25 Talk about our children being 'chip off the old block,' my daughter is a biologist also. I am just poor in all the names to memorize but am fascinated by the RNA and DNA molecules.

@eileenleyva No matter how bad we are with any subject we end up finding something interesting there to survive it Good to know that your daughter is a biologist. That has a lot of potential in today's time

@arunima25 At this time Arunima, I am only doing the best I can to keep this shack we live in cool..I have a system but it keeps me very busy. Fans and windows opening and closing as the dawn and evening permits..to draw in the coolest of air. It is work though up and down the stairs and non stop monitoring and unable to cook to turn the oven on for anything too hot.

@RebeccasFarm I dread cooking on a hot day. I loose my appetite on a hot day and I wish others in my family did that too.And we could just manage with some cut fruits especially cool watermelon. But my husband and daughters are hungry on time and they want hot neals Anyway, my city is never too hot. We have a pleasant weather throughout the year.

It was a good day. We had no plans for fun and we just ended up talking silly and giggling and laughing. Now when everyone is back to their room preparing for a new week tomorrow, I am here

I went to bed at 10 pm with the kids. But instead of sleeping, I told them stories about our childhood and the family. Ended up sleeping at 1 AM. You have an early start of a new academic year.

Our academic year is from June to March. Well, is gone a bit out of track with the pandemic. It often happens with us on weekends. We chat and chat and do all silly things and lose track of time. But then these the most precious times that we spend doing silly things and chatting with our loved ones.

Hot and humid can be really annoying. We had rain in the late afternoon and overall it was a pleasant day. Hope you had a good Sunday
