Why? Why Not?

Why am I such an early riser. . . I do not really know, but the cats push the idea a lot. I try to keep them in until after 4:30 a.m. though.
I have been up, made coffee, cooked some pancakes, taken morning meds.
My only time commitment today is to meet Jane at the lake for coffee (again) around 9.
I am asking myself why not go back to bed a while. Then I can have second breakfast. That would be good.
It is 65 F here in Florence, Ks. Going for 81, mostly clear now, predicting thunderstorms. So that is around 18 C headed for about 28 C. Roughly.
Jane and I are going to the lake at my suggestion. I get tired of giving Wendy's my money for stuff I do not particularly crave. Besides that, the lake is more nearly halfway between us.
We shall see if she cancels, she was gone to a Tae Kwon Do tournament all weekend with one of her daughters.
My pillow is calling me back to sleep. All cats except Angel are outside. She will stay in until she is spayed. No more kittens.
Each day has the possibility of being a really good day.

@GardenGerty Its not really for me, its like a 2 hours longer. I never go to bed until about 3 thirty AM. I get most of my work done in the night because fewer distractions.

Since it was a week day it was very quiet there.

I have that sometimes. We try to fill the dish before we go to bed, though.

You have justified the adage "Early to rise, early to sleep makes one healthy, wealthy and wise" I am a morning person too

@GardenGerty Same as you, after 6 PM I do not function very well.

Currently 23°C, heading for 27°C (71/81F). A "heat warning" has been issued for the city of Toronto, but I'm not sure if that extends to St Catharines. It seems to be a bit breezy, though.

Breezy will help. We have been hanging around 80-85 F. And humid.

I would prefer the lake any day over Wendys. Have a good nap

I have become an early riser because no matter what time I get up in the morning once my brain begins to function and all these through come in I just cannot sleep any more,

Nice and quiet on a non-holiday Monday.

I do not really want to start before 5 a.m. It does help beat the heat.
