It has been a wonderful few days. There has been a lot of rain so not much time spent outdoors. Though for what its worth, those breaks in the grey sky have been cool and pleasant. I saw the female deer again.. it may be a different one but I think it might be the same one. She comes out about the same time everyday in the same area. I spent some time chilling with one of my sisters. I tried a green tea something from starbucks drivethru and it was worth it! I should have probably got something bigger than a medium.. but oh well! I enjoyed what I had! Its a lovely evening tonight. My kids are sewing and once my hands relax some, I am going to return to making crochet flowers for a project. how are you today? have you created anything today?

Still don't know what's on tonight's dinner menu, but I managed to wash the dishes in the sink.

@sallypup That is how I do it! Hubby does most of it with the riding mower. He also helps with the weedeater. I tend to do a smaller section and work on the details, then move to the next. Some parts of our yard are completely overgrown because we are working on a bee / butterfly sanctuary. Some of the tree saplings that were planted need the other growth coverage until they mature more. At which point it will be back to the weedeater to clean up and go to the next stage in the area!

@Daelii I had peaches that were getting too ripe, so I made a peaches jam, then I baked a sponge cake that I cut to make the layers for a coffee cake, boiled salmon for a salmon salad and finally prepared the coffee cake.

sounds like a great time! What have you been creating in the kitchen? Someone mentioned a "Drunk cabbage" recipe that I so want to try!

I created jam by standing next to a hot stove. At least it tastes good.

Today we've been working on stuff for our 18-year old's graduation party tomorrow, and I thoroughly brushed out the hair of the 2 long-haired kids. That took a lot of my energy!

@Daelii Yes, we are so proud! And they got to have a real in-person graduation ceremony, which we were worried might not get to happen.

It's always a great feeling when you try something different especially a food item and you really enjoy it!

It is! I think that is one thing I really like about social media places is how much different foods are shared that I would otherwise likely never encounter in day to day life! Its nice to be able to try them too if they are available locally!
