And more rain is on the way for the weekend!! Yep, a tropical depression is forming in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to be named this morning or sometimes during the day Thursday. This storm will bring a lot of rain to the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Depending on the route the storm takes, other further inland may get some rain also. The National Weather Service has already said that low lying areas along the coastlines will more than likely flood. Hurricane season started on June 1, 2021 and it didn't take long for the storms to pop up. We are already on letter 'C' meaning two other storms were already at strength to earn a name. Have you been stirring the cauldron again? Didn't they ask you to stop doing that?

I'm all for peace and quiet but somebody has it in for me. Trouble with my mom's social security and Medicaid now. I swear this all sucks big time.

@DaddyEvil It is like they are doing all this over and over on purpose. I'm really about to lose it and go off on someone.

We won't see any rain for another day, maybe two. The biggest danger is flooding unless it gains a lot of strength.

@kareng Hope all is well and it stays the same way. Flooding can be damaging in many ways.

The Hurricane Center has predicted just as bad or almost as bad as last year so that doesn't sound very good to me. This is an early in the season one too. They don't usually start popping until August.

@kareng I have the feeling that every year they are worse than the previous one, let's cross our fingers.

Me too! There is another system right behind it that looks to be pretty developed with an eye but that one is staying hush hush.

@wolfgirl569 Hope it isn't too bad! I don't have to do much tomorrow. Just go back to town to make phone calls because service out here is sucking worse and worse. I have to go to the post office again anyway so no big deal.

Hopefully it won't be a bad hurricane season this year. If I remember right, last year we used up the whole alphabet on names of storms and had to go into the Greek alphabet.

@kareng I hope they are. I'm gearing up for a hot summer. We've had a hot dry spring. We finally got rain last night. We need a lot more to relieve the drought conditions.

@DocAndersen Yes, that is surprising! It was slow moving yesterday, I hope it picks up a bit but then again once on land it slows down more.
