And more rain is on the way for the weekend!! Yep, a tropical depression is forming in the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to be named this morning or sometimes during the day Thursday.
This storm will bring a lot of rain to the coasts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Depending on the route the storm takes, other further inland may get some rain also. The National Weather Service has already said that low lying areas along the coastlines will more than likely flood.
Hurricane season started on June 1, 2021 and it didn't take long for the storms to pop up. We are already on letter 'C' meaning two other storms were already at strength to earn a name.

Have you been stirring the cauldron again? Didn't they ask you to stop doing that?

@kareng I'm sorry. If I knew a way to help, you know I'd do it.

@DaddyEvil It is like they are doing all this over and over on purpose. I'm really about to lose it and go off on someone.

@wolfgirl569 Hope it isn't too bad! I don't have to do much tomorrow. Just go back to town to make phone calls because service out here is sucking worse and worse. I have to go to the post office again anyway so no big deal.

@kareng They are calling for damaging winds here tonight. I sat everything down that I could. Almost. I need to go get my clothes in.

Hopefully it won't be a bad hurricane season this year. If I remember right, last year we used up the whole alphabet on names of storms and had to go into the Greek alphabet.

@kareng it would be terrible if this year was as bad as last year. Hope it doesn't affect you

@kareng i saw that - pretty wide tropical disturbance, luckily it didn't find the energy to move up a class to a hurricane!

@DocAndersen Yes, that is surprising! It was slow moving yesterday, I hope it picks up a bit but then again once on land it slows down more.

Four tropical depressions have already visited our country like Auring, Bising, Crising and Dante.

@Nakitakona That's rough! Our hurricanes are more or less limited to June 1 through Nov. something.

@kareng There's no season. It comes for the whole year. Sometimes we 26 typhoons in a year.
