Munching nuts, mylotting and cooking...

Good morning from this side of the planet
It is 11 AM here and I just logged out from my work and came here immediately.
. Work at school is over for the day. I am munching on almonds, walnut, and dates as my mid-morning snacks and mylotting. I will be here for good 30 minutes before I head to the kitchen to cook lunch. It is a simple menu of steamed rice, dal( lentil soup), potatoes and cauliflower fry, raw banana fry and curd along with sliced cucumber, onions, and green chili pickles. There are dishes waiting in the sink from the breakfast and I will clean them as I cook..multitasking in kitchen
I need to send a couple of official mails in the late afternoon and also clean my inbox. I have not done that in a week and I have a ton to delete and a few important ones to sort and save them in their designated folders. I also need to pay my electricity bill, water bill and place a few orders on Amazon. As I take care of them in the afternoon, I will peep and work on another site. Right now I have a little more than 30 minutes in hand and I want this to be fully a mylotting time

@arunima25 We are both retired so stay up late watching television/movies. Don't have to wake up at a specific time.

What keeps you awake for so late on a weekday? Those popped small potatoes sound yummy and a good midnight mini-meal.

I do the same. While cooking I try to finish other work in the kitchen like cleaning shelves, arranging grocery, washing dishes, cleaning the microwave etc. That makes sense while we are waiting for food to be cooked on the stove.

Mid-morning snacks for me is always fruits or nuts. I go for healthy meals most of the time.. Have a good day.

Yum! I like almonds and walnuts but don't care for dates. (All I ever see are mean girls, so don't want a date with any of them. 
)

@DaddyEvil I go for regular dates with dates at least a couple of times a week. They are full of iron and I need them.

@arunima25 I feel it's a kind of additional responsibility which has been assigned to you. . I can't guess if you volunteered for it or it was thrust upon you.
In my case paying all bills is my responsibility. She looks after other areas.

Yes, taking care of all the bills fall in my domain including that of my husband's personal phone. He is more of the financial planner though he involves me there too. Managing and tracking them is my responsibility.

@dpk262006 He used to travel a lot for his business before this pandemic. And he is quite busy with his job. Besides job, he is always busy with his patents and paper publishing, etc.So most of the responsibilities fell on my shoulders be it attending PTM, paying bills, insurances, tracking our savings, etc. It is not that I pay it with my money. He pays it. I am just the facilitator.
When he is around, he shares a lot of load of chores.

I went for an hour to cook and clean up the kitchen. Now I am here mylotting till my husband and elder daughter join us for lunch. The younger one is too hungry and she did not wait

Better to do it at a time when we are comfortable. We have to be careful while doing online banking and not make mistakes.

It's 11am here (and I'm sure it's much later where you are now) but I thought it was funny we were both myLotting at the same time.
Your snack of almonds, walnuts and dates sound healthy and delicious.
Another busy day for you. I paid my bills yesterday and I'm glad I don't have any more to pay until the end of the month.

@Nakitakona Their school started for few days in January and February but then the second wave of virus hit our country really hard and they were back to online classes. I was waiting for their online school to get over.

Those were my mid-morning snacks. And it was just a handful. I always play music once my school sessions are over. Rest other works are done with music in background

I can not multitask..I do one task at a time but yes I switch quickly between tasks21 years of marriage and experience of handling so many things, we all become efficient at that.
