A first for me

In my image is a plant called "mosquito plant" it is a geranium. The leaves are lemon scented. It is also called a citronella geranium.
I have never had one bloom for me before, so this is nice. I noticed it while I was outside enjoying my coffee. This, and other scented herbs are said to keep bugs, especially mosquitos away.
I have been responding to discussions this morning. Something I do not do often enough.
Next, I plan to move my computer. We shall see if I kill it.
It is hot and dry outside. I have been taking garbage out this morning already.
I will see you this afternoon, if not sooner. Be cool and be safe.

Enjoy your plant. Are you moving the computer outside and good luck with it?

No, I wanted to move from one wall to the other. Making room for a bed in the office space and getting the computer out of the window. I did get it moved.

Now, I get it. It makes sense to me. I bet it was very tiring. I know moving things around are. I did that in my bedroom where I lived before. I moved the bed a different way and it was very tiring. I hope you are ok and glad it got done.

The bloom actually reminds me of Martha Washington Geraniums, I was so surprised.

I only thought this kind did, and maybe rose geranium. I plant lemon grass, lemon balm as well. All these herbs are supposed to help.

@GardenGerty The geraniums sold in Switzerland are declared to help against the mosquitoes and I do not know if you ever noticed photos of the balconies of Swiss homes...

Yes, it does. It is the citronella in its leaves.

Hey look, my computer survived, but I almost did not. I hope we get some rain in a day or two.

I was looking for this plant on the internet and I have realized that there is a great variety. The flower is very pretty and the smell it gives off must be very pleasant.

There are many kinds of geraniums and they are usually easy to grow. The do well even in the heat.

I do not like my laptop that well. I have one, but need to have an office space set up better.

This is such a pretty flower. I never heard of a flower distracting mosquitoes so that makes it twice as nice.

It is the scent of the leaves that repels mosquitoes because of the citronella.
