Today's Bloom: Minnie Pearl

Today I was greeted with a bloom from the Minnie Pearl lily. This bloom is one of the smaller lilies and is a pretty peach color.
This is one of the new lilies I purchased last year and the first time it has bloomed.
I am assuming it was named for the country star, Minnie Pearl. Do you remember seeing her on television back in the 60's and 70's

I remember seeing Minnie Pearl on the Southern Command Network (SCN) television show in Panama called "Hee Haw" which was a country and western variety show.

I recognize the name Minnie Pearl, but I don't recall ever seeing her on tv. But I must have, if I recognize the name! lol

@moffittjc Yep! Hee Haw was on every week at our house when I was growing up.

But mine too, because I didn't remember the show she was on which was Hee Haw! My dad watched it every week. She always wore a hat with a price tag hanging down the side of it.@moffittjc (128837)

@kareng It's funny, because a little while later after I made the comment, I was sitting on my couch and it suddenly hit me where I had seen Minnie Pearl....it was on Hee Haw! I used to love watching that show!
