John Prine Meet Kurt Vile And Vice Versa

Kurt Vile is one of those artists that I think is very underrated for his guitar playing and his songwriting ability. But nonetheless, some years back I found him and became a fan. The first song I ever heard was Life Like This which is a very simple song, but when you actually dig in to both the lyrics and the song structure, there is a lot of interesting stuff going on here. You probably have to be a musician to appreciate some of it. Either way, some other Kurt Vile songs I really like, which I may include in my Music You've Probably Never Heard series eventually are songs like Wheelhouse, Pretty Pimpin', and Wakin' On A Pretty Day, one that I covered and will share a video of if anyone wants to see it. When I think of guys like Vile, I am quickly reminded of guys like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and of course... John Prine who we unfortunately recently lost to Covid. But luckily Kurt Vile was able to meet up with John Prine and introduce his amazing talent to an entirely new audience. And this was their thing. A cover by Kurt Vile of John Prine's How Lucky that John actually showed up on. The original Prine song is of course awesome. But when you pair Vile and Prine on this, there is some magic here I think you will really enjoy.
