A Surprise Birthday Party

Hello everyone! How’s your day/evening/week? Mine is fine as always.
I was not on Mylot yesterday as I was invited to join the surprise birthday of one of my friends. It was organised in my friend Gs house. She was the one who made it that the celebrant could come after her work at Amazon saying that there was an important letter to be collected after her work. The celebrant was actually in stress as she was not in the mood for going out on her birthday. She even thought that it was her saddest birthday. Her husband knew about our surprise and was with us already waiting for the celebrant to come.
Long story short, she was happy to have come and it was a success. We ate, laughed and talked a lot as we have not seen the celebrant for almost a year. It was a happy celebration.
BTW, I don’t wait anymore that my discussion responses will reach 20. As per my experience, it took at least 3 days to reach the amount of responses and my hands were itching to write something here. So, I am back to my writing routine on Mylot which is writing a post when I like to.
Anyway, have a great Friday everyone. Time really flies fast and we have the First Friday of July. Thank you for reading.

I'm glad the celebrant enjoyed her surprise birthday . . . and to think she initially thought it was her saddest birthday. That all looks so nice for her. Oh yah, I wondered how your experiment was working! I thinking writing when I feel like it works better too. Happy Friday to you . . . yes, time is flying like crazy!!!

I'm sure it was a great birthday party! That was so nice of the friend to set it up as a surprise! 
I read the other day that you were waiting for 20 responses before writing a new discussion and wondered why you'd do that. There have been discussions that I've written that never received that many responses. I'd still be waiting if I did that.

@thelme55 Okay, let me explain something you may not have realized... myLot is not a quid pro quo site. The owner specifically said just because you talk on someone's discussion doesn't mean they have to respond on your discussion or comment on a response on their discussion.
When I find someone who doesn't want to talk to me, I ignore them after that. I always give people several chances by talking with them on their discussions and on comments they make on someone else's discussions. Sometimes, it happens that the person just takes a long time to realize I've talked to them because myLot's notification system doesn't always work right. (Surely, you've noticed by now that not every time someone talks on your discussions does a notification pop up saying they talked there, right? Well that can happen anywhere we talk here. People just don't know we've talked to them.)
Now, if the person never talks to me after I've tried talking with them several times, I just don't bother them anymore, assuming I said something somewhere that they didn't like.
I like to talk and like to talk with most people on myLot but I understand that not everyone is like me so I just do what I want and let them do what they want without keeping track.

I was just doing an experiment. I am always curious and I didn’t like it when I have only a few responses when in fact I have interacted for hours here. I noticed though that some are not replying to my comments.

I was in the birthday party again today as the son of my friend turned 16 today. You made me laugh about posting once a month if you had followed my tactic. 
That would be frustrating for me if that is my case.

I'm glad the birthday surprise was a success. Not much going on here. Waiting for Meals on Wheels to come. Do you have anything like that in your country? It's for seniors; and meals are delivered 5 or 7 days a week for a nominal fee. Have a good weekend.
